Dig this video Matt. Been using WpEngine and Synthesis for managed hosts with great results. Not having to deal with a bloated cpanel makes me love logging in to my account for once. Have not tried Flywheel yet, but I might put my next site there so I can see what all the buzz is about.

New term about to be coined. SmartCar

Since part of my job is giving talks about where technology is taking society I love these concepts.

This is a blend of smartphone, Siri-like technology, and a yet to be developed AI. A touchable holographic screen is something I have seen in practice and the technology is getting there quickly.

All it needs are wings and we will finally be in "the future" :)

E-Commerce has changed the game.

I'm amazed it took major retailers this long to realize their model is flawed. As our lives become busier and our wallets shrink people will research and shop online even more.

At our fingertips is almost any product available in a brick and mortar store. We can find reviews, quickly ask our friends via social media, and compare prices within minutes. If we do enter a traditional store chances are many shoppers have already done all that. Often they know more than the sales staff about a product or service.

Impulse shopping is fading. Surgical shopping is the new King. The web is his Kingdom.

Awesome

If giving presentations or being a guest speaker is anywhere in your job description you know the feeling of getting on a stage and putting on a good show.

Well, Emmanuel is about to make us all look bad.

No matter what is holding you back this Friday, Mr. Kelly can teach you a thing or two.

Take a deep breath, and get on stage.

"Whatever your life's work is, do it well. A man should do his job so well that the living, the dead, and the unborn could do it no better."
-Martin Luther King, Jr.

As marketers we often spend too much time doing what everyone else is doing. We provide a client with the right message at the right audience. We measure data to make sure things are working. It's all so impersonal. It needs to change.

In comes Elizabeth Laird. She gives hugs to hero's.

With no budget, no concern for ROI, Impressions, or Click Through Rates she adds a little joy to the world. We can do the same.

Marketers and small business owners should take a page out of her book. When was the last time you gave your customer or client a "hug" just for doing what they do?

Great Pet Friendly find! Stayed in Cabin 8. The staff were very friendly and the owner's daughter loves playing with dogs. The back porch near the river is awesome. Only problem is finding a room, since the place is so popular. I expect it is because almost all other Cabins in the area do not allow dogs. Book far in advance. If you have allergies the room might flare them up a bit. I needed allergy pills and my inhaler when I rarely do. It's a cabin in the woods that allows dogs, so I expected it :)

Dr. Johnson is amazing. We had to have our last Pug, Luci, put down after just turning 3 due to cancer. Every other vet tried to sell us on soft palate surgery of some type, saying that was her problem. He tried everything he could, but there was no helping her. He was so supportive and helpful during that very difficult decision. We were getting married that week, and I called Dr. Johnson (who breeds and shows pugs) if he knows of a way I can adopt a Pug quickly for a wedding gift for my wife. Turned out one of his grandpugs was available as a puppy! He made some calls and I drove to CT to meet with the nicest two breeders. I was able to bring a Pug puppy home as a wedding gift for my wife, all because of Dr. Johnson. Our Pug, Olivia (Olive for short) is now three, and snoring away in her doggie bed as I write this. She is the sweetest crazy little pug and we spoil her rotten with adventures, walks, and play time. Thank you Dr. Johnson for not just being a great vet, but a great person.

Perfect spot on the river to spend time with your dog. Too many other cabins nearby are not pet friendly, so this is a great find. The shower will leak a bit, but it's a motel, not the Westin. If you are bringing your dog along for hikes this is perfect.
