Cool to see Stories finally launch. Congrats to +Ben Eidelson and the team!

Here's the story of a hike I took with +Alex Collins a little while back.

Such pretty sounds! I feel like a lot of people don't think of highly edited organic sounds like this when they think of 'electronic music', which is too bad.

(Oh, and check out that cool soundcloud stream widget. HEYO!)

Some photos from an AT&T cell site in San Francisco.

Things I learned:
- SMS on many phones operates over UMTS which occupies a lower freq band of EM, which is why sometimes inside of buildings you can send texts, but apps won't work
- The carriers will often bring out mobile cell sites for big events like the America's Cup in SF
- A bunch of fairly dumb devices like package delivery scanners are still operating on 2G, but 2G is getting phased out more and more aggressively these days
- AT&T has cell sites disguised as trees, boulders, gas station signs and more

Thanks as always to +Tim Hwang for organizing!

+Alex Collins and any other digital music production people might enjoy hearing Four Tet explain his live setup. My favorite part is the way he uses CoolEdit.
From the ongoing Red Bull Music Academy - Four Tet explains his live setup, including Ableton Live.

Seen on a whiteboard at Google yesterday:

"Given a reflexive, commutative but not transitive binary relation ~ on some set, describe an algorithm that finds the min-cardinality partition of the set such that each subset is an equivalence class under ~"

I think I've figured it out, but I might be wrong.
