This article rings scarily true for me. I've got a phone with a cloud-based music player and a huge collection of podcasts to listen to at work, and endless streaming video to watch at home. We are all cocooned in noise, and can escape from one another's only when immersed in our own. What effect is the sound-culture having on our self-awareness and faculties of thought?
