This article rings scarily true for me. I've got a phone with a cloud-based music player and a huge collection of podcasts to listen to at work, and endless streaming video to watch at home. I'm never bored, but I rarely have time to sit and think either:
We are all cocooned in noise, and can escape from one another's only when immersed in our own. What effect is the sound-culture having on our self-awareness and faculties of thought?
