Oh my gosh, we walked 30 mins from our hotel to try these, and it was totally worth it - though so unhealthy! Favourite flavours were the milk chocolate covered pretzel, maple bacon and hazelnut caramel crunch. Wow - these are proper gourmet doughnuts, and make a great treat in the office (we bought a huge box to share). Each doughnut is huge, so one per person is MORE than enough! - Nina | Have You Heard Of It? HYHOI | London food & fitness recommendations

I don't know how anyone could have anything negative to say about this exceptional doughnut shop. The doughnuts are fresh and the flavors are inventive and delicious. From their seasonal flavors (pumpkin spice) to their regulars (salted caramel and maple bacon) every one I have ever tried has been just as amazing as the last. They are a little on the pricier side, but they are definitely worth it!

Came in to get the donuts everyone's been raving about in the Boston area for so long. Got a mix of 4 different donuts all yeast based expect for their pumpkin one which was made differently but I can't remember how. All the favors were very rich and had a dense but fluffy texture. They had a bread like consistency but every rich in flavor and taste. I will certainly come back and try more more of their flavors!

Everybody loves Union Square Donuts. Bacon Maple. Bourbon Caramel. "Crowdsourced." It's all addicting. They are moving, to a larger space next door to the original location, and it will be neat to see if they'll be more able to handle the demand (lines start early on the weekends; it's worth the wait). The USD crew pops-up regularly at local farmers' markets and food events, so don't sweat it if you aren't feeling the line (reminder: it's worth the wait).

Love the donuts here! Come early, though, otherwise the flavors you want might run out! There are still some I have yet to try because they ran out, but the bourbon sea salt caramel was outstanding! The line can be long but it goes quickly. I'd skip the donut ice cream sandwiches and stick with donuts. I mean, I love donuts because they're so fluffy and frozen donuts aren't fluffy.

Average, but not great. Not worth the wait. I would choose Krispy Kreme any day.

Dubbed as a must-visit when in Somerville by numerous City Experts and Bostonians, Union Square does not disappoint. They're worth a trip off the beaten path on a busy weekday, even, as I hear weekends are insane. A friend and I tried four different donuts in the interest of giving them a fair taste: Brown butter hazelnut: my favorite and just amazing. Sugar glazed: my second favorite, almost melts in your mouth. Maple bacon: Packed with flavor but very heavy. Cider donut: Nothing to write home about (maybe it was old?) Beware, the donuts are so heavy, so don't order more than one unless you can handle it. Prices are reasonable, staff sort of rushes you and seating at the current location is limited, so be prepared.

The donuts at Union Square Donuts are certainly creative, from brown butter hazelnut crunch (my personal favorite) to maple bacon and chocolate marble. The donuts are made with the highest quality ingredients, and it shows- especially in the vanilla bean frosting (with flecks of vanilla bean throughout), and the decadent chocolate frosting. The donuts are heavy though (basically coma inducing); often I opt for the sugar glazed donut holes so I can pace myself.
