What's On Show This Weekend ... July 18-19, 2015.
Well, old man Winter arrived in the tropics this past week.  He bought some seriously cold nights and early mornings, and some gorgeous sunrises.   Mid-week it was down to between 7 and 9 deg C  (44 - 48 F).  That is COLD for the tropics.  With very low hum...

If you haven't visited yet, do take the time to drop by!  It will be worth it.
Sometime today, Bealtaine Cottage will be viewed for the 999,999th time. It will, thereafter, have reached one million views! Who would have ever thought that this little place, tucked away as it i...

What's On Show This Weekend ... July 4-5, 2015.
I've been so very slack in posting on either of my blogs this year, and the year is already half over!!!  It's getting harder and harder for me to find the time to devote to blogging, so I think I'll just try and add a quick post on the weekends as a way of...

+sue catmint   We are bemoaning the lack of a wet season here.  Everything is starting to dry out very, very quickly and our dry season has only just begun.  The garden is going to have a tough year.

Friday Flower Flaunt ... on this first February Friday.
February is supposedly our last month of Summer, although there's little change even when March rolls around.  At the moment it's hot and humid.  We've had some lovely rain during the month of January and even in this first week of February, but it's been i...

From the weekend .... Feb 28 / March 1, 2015.  End of Summer into the first days of our supposed Autumn, although it will feel summery for quite some time to come.

Known as Bush Bernie in garden blogging circles. I'm a teacher, wife, mother, and grandmother whose interest in gardening has been rekindled after many busy years filled with work and family. My garden is located in a dry tropics region of north Queensland and the climate and weather conditions here can be quite challenging! But I'm whole-heartedly enjoying getting out there and having a go!
