#EditorsPick on #GraceandTruth DEAR ATHEIST... You have a problem. You have an addiction. The thing you crave so much has blinded you to what you need. You crave to know. You feed on much knowledge, but are never content, because the more you know, the less you know. This drug that gives you a momentary high, and causes you restlessness, is a disease to your bones. Knowledge is good, but Wisdom is better. Seek after Wisdom, and you shall receive knowledge and understanding. You’ve been looking into those Scriptures long and hard. You think your diligence and persistence is evidence of your sincerity. But your pride, which you do not see, has blinded you. You know too much, and cannot learn the truth. No one pours new wine in old wine skins. You need to stop. Just stop. Stop trying so hard to know. Stop and listen. Wait. In your longing for the truth, wait. Wait in expectation. Wait, and believe that there is a Truth to know. Don’t start thinking about what it is. Just free your mind. Expel all that you think you know. Abide in that place of foolishness. Yes, be in that place of uncertainty. Stay there and smash your pride… Read more at

#EditorsPick on #GraceandTruth OUT OF BOUNDS Those words will either humble you or anger you, but throughout our lives we will come across situations where we are shut out from. Where our input is not needed. Where we have no choice but to trust those with understanding and insight. Truth is, as much as we may want to, we can’t possibly know nor understand everything. We don’t have the capacity! There are some things that are given to us to know…some things that are given to us to search out. And then there are things that are OUT OF BOUNDS. You can’t know them. You can’t search them. You can’t have them, nor can you comprehend, unless the One in Charge favours you to do so. The realm of Faith is one such territory. The Atheist values his knowledge above all else, and is frustrated by this realm, where his ‘much’ knowledge and logical reasoning is neither needed nor valued. This is the territory of God, where He abides, and by which He chooses to run the world and the whole universe. This is His control tower…and they are shut out! They can’t investigate it. They can’t validate it. They can’t know it. They can’t comprehend it… Read more at

Jason was nervous about meeting Fiona’s family on this Sunday afternoon.  It would be their first meeting, and he didn’t know what to expect.  She came from a Catholic home, and well, he was not one and was still quite young in his Faith walk.  What if…

A Small World: Season Two - Three Weddings And A Funeral (Episode 5) It had been two weeks since Keisha had bombarded Ifeanyi's phone with her scandalous pictures and messages.  She'd really been expectant of an explosion or some feedback at least, but up till now, she'd heard nothing from him.  It was time she made her next move.  But what will it be? She really had to be careful with her strategy, because she just had one chance to pull off a convincing performance.  She'd thought of taking her campaign on Facebook, but later reasoned that that would be jumping the gun.  They'd have their defenses up in no time, and she would lose the opportunity to inflict the maximum amount of pain.  No, she couldn't afford to be hasty. Now she thought of it...maybe sending those pictures wasn't the way to put her best foot forward.  Maybe you should apologise...  Hey, that's not a bad idea!  He won't even see it coming...  She could blame it on the alcohol, she thought, with a smile. Keisha picked up her phone, and was about to call, when she remembered the time.  At 11am on a Sunday morning, he would probably be in Church.  She'd make the call later... Read more at

#EditorsPick on #GraceandTruth I DON'T KNOW Christians are often regarded as “Know-It-All”s by the faithless, because of the confidence we place in the knowledge of God and all things spiritual.  Maybe it could also have something to do with how we seem to have an answer for everything…or how hard it is to get us to say “I don’t know”.  As people of Faith, “we know that we know” many things.  Faith used in this way is a type of knowledge…an assurance that it will be a happy ending after all, no matter what the journey throws at us. Having faith really doesn’t mean that you know it all.  It simply means that, even the things you don’t know, you have confidence in the One who knows to make it known in time, or to grant you the information required for you to handle whatever’s coming.  Faith would actually not exist if you did know!  No one recalls their name by faith, except if they just arose from a coma.  As Christians are called to live by faith, not knowing is going to be our continuous experience.  No matter how much we come to know... #EditorsPick on #GraceandTruth WHAT IF WE ARE WRONG ABOUT GOD? Atheists pride themselves in admitting that they could be wrong...and they just need enough proof to be convinced.  However, is it really inconceivable for Christians to consider that we could be wrong about the existence of God?  And if we are wrong on that point, does that take away from the wisdom of the Cross, which is sacrificial love?  I think not. If it could be proven that the Bible is entirely make belief, and there is no other evidence for the existence of God, apart from Jewish tradition, what difference would that make?  Would that change the wisdom that was revealed in the Bible?  Would evil and righteousness change in meaning and in practice? People say that the wisdom in the Bible is not new.  That other philosophers say the same things that are attributed to Solomon or Jesus.  Jews even argue that Jesus didn't say anything new, but just took credit for what God already said in the Old Testament, like His command to love our enemies.  Someone once pointed out that Hebrew Scriptures also say that we should be kind to our enemies.  Very well then. So can Christianity become obsolete?  Redundant?  If not for the strong... Read more at

#EditorsPick on #GraceandTruth THE EASY WAY OUT The way I see it, it would be easy to be an atheist.  You’ve got no one’s rules to follow but your own.  As long as you also follow the laws of the land where you live, you’ve got no problem. With no belief in God, there are so many life experiences that one could experiment with, without fear that they would have to give account to anyone for their actions.  You wouldn’t feel guilty for living a selfish life, doing only what feels good and right to you… or even breaking the law – if and when you think you could get away with it!  I mean, what does it matter anyway? So, now all I have to think about is my business and my family – that’s if I ever settle down to have one.  I mean, there are no restrictions on who I can sleep with, or even how many.  Why do I have to get tied down?  And who needs kids anyway?  Yes, they are adorable, but what a way to waste precious time and money!  So I guess it will just be about the business… So much more free time to get that money... #EditorsPick on #GraceandTruth A WORLD WITHOUT GOD? Let’s think about that for a minute.  Really, really think about it.  Can you imagine it?  The absence of the awareness of any divine Being?  Any sovereign Lord?  Any all encompassing Spirit? So many people profess that they can.  And that they have.  And in fact, they live in such a world…  A world without God.  A world untouched by His influence and untainted by His existence. In reality, they live in a world filled with people who constantly question the existence of such a Being.  Such questions always bring the possibility to the fore.  Such questions are as the fall of an elephant in the desert.  It throws the dust up again, and clouds their world for the moments they contemplate the possibility that there is a God!  In those moments, they are choked by the dust, until it settles… But then, the question is thrown again, and another elephant falls and their world is disturbed.  Calamity strikes, and reason prevails.  Yet, the masses call upon God.  From a place they know not of, the call for help, for assurance, for serenity, goes out.  The call arises from within, before one has been able to conclude the question... A Small World: Season Two - Three Weddings And A Funeral (Episode 4) THIS EPISODE IS NOW LIVE! "If I had one thing to say to the Youth, to this new generation of business men and leaders, I would say - Dream.  Dream big, but be prepared to work just as hard!  Thank you..." Ope Olamisan alighted the podium to a round of applause, after giving his talk on "Innovative Thinking in The Business Sector", as part of the Men Empowering Men Business Talk, held at the Civic Centre in Lagos.  It was a first of its kind initiative to inspire more young men to become entrepreneurs and to take charge of their businesses and careers.  He had been invited to give his address as a 40 year old successful, home-bred business man, with five companies to his name and counting.  Though he had much insight to share about how he was able to achieve so much, he gave all glory to God. He returned to take his seat with the high table of Executives, and shook hands with a few, who praised him on his speech.  Ope settled in his seat and glanced at his watch.  They were running late for what was supposed to be a Breakfast event. He was the second to last speaker, and... Read more at
