Order the lobster roll. It's awesome. Way better than the dinky one that they serve at Son of a Gun. They had a special where they'd give you free shrimp toast with a facebook checkin. There was a lot of shrimp on that thing for a free item. My gf ordered the crab cakes which were pretty tasty as well. Overall, a pretty good seafood place.

Having personally recommended SLAPFISH to a number of people over the years through word-of-mouth and taking friends who visit from out-of-town, I'm truly disappointed with our last visit. The portion sizes are a lot smaller, the french fries were overcooked (dry and hard), and the cole slaw was about 20% of previous portions. If you can imagine, the cole slaw came in a cup that is used for ketchup at In-N-Out! Truly, understanding that cost and portion control is very important to maintaining a viable business, understanding the dynamic of changing from waiters to place-your-own-order, I'm sure costs have been reduced. But at what cost?

Great food but the menu at the HB location had far less than what was on the online website menu. The fish tacos were on sale and those were Great. Everyone talks about the Lobster/Shrimp Grinder but at $16 it was nothing mind blowing. Also had ceviche which was dynamite. It you are looking for a neat little place to eat then try SlapFish. But if you are looking for something a bit higher end then try something else.

Great Fish and Chips. Light crunchy tempura type batter on very fresh fish. The Chowder Fries were OK...would have preferred straight clam chowder. The "Awesome" sauce is also very good. Service was excellent. Price is very reasonable. A nice touch was a greeter that explained the menu choices for those new patrons. We will definitely be back.

I had a lobster roll that was absolutely delicious. It is made with fresh claw meat sold at market price so my sandwich cost $22 but it was worth every penny. It was served with fried potato chips and a tiny cup of coleslaw. There is a small but decent beer selection, but since you pay up front at the counter (like in their food truck days) you can't easier order additional drinks.

We went for happy hour ("slappy hour") really good deal $4 huge tacos and $3 beers. I recommend the fried over the grilled fish. We had a excellent server (extremely friendly and helpful). I only wish they had a better house hot sauce.
