The wonderful +Simone de Haas nails it in this blog.

I’ve always been a believer that if you can anchor yourself deeply in your values – in all areas of your life – it helps you on the journey to becoming the best version of yourself you can be. But it's not easy to stay anchored. Life blows us around right?

I loved Simone’s idea on identifying your Circle of Five values, which does indeed attract people with similar values to you. I also agree, five people isn’t anywhere near enough and I detest fear/inadequacy marketing too.

So my Circle of Five… not easy to capture but will give it a go. Brave enough to share yours back :) ?

1. Always ALWAYS be a person of your word, because trust is everything
2. Join the fight so that ALL living beings have equal rights, accepting the consequences that come with it
3. Be outrageously generous in all ways to all people
4. Be yourself in all situations, just a little less potty-mouthed if deemed necessary
5. Be kind – to yourself, to others, and to the world

There’re others, but a good start. Your turn? #Values #authenticity #Inspiration

What are you going to learn this year? I've decided to master the MC role, because I'm being asked more regularly these days, but I know being excellent at it isn't easy, because it's a complete art in itself! So if you're going to learn, then it's got to be from the best, and that, in my opinion, is +Warwick Merry... Not only Australia's best MC/event host, but an all round terrific fella! If being an MC is on your radar, check it out and I'll see you there #mc #emcee #onlinelearning http://warwickmerry.com/mc-mentoring/

Such a timely piece. Trust and transparency - yes! I know many fear this side of life, but I don't think we can escape it, and I always suggest being "interesting" digitally to those who are concerned. Then again, you could become an anomaly, and I'm not sure what the data does to anomalies!! Anyhoo the important thing is understanding it, being aware of what we put "out there" and it's implications, but more importantly, all becoming active players in our profiles - yes that spoke the most to me #BigData #AI #Trust #Transparency https://qz.com/1525661/your-digital-identity-has-three-layers-and-you-can-only-protect-one-of-them/?_lrsc=33b0cef1-96af-49e6-acb5-5d71f8d0e095&utm_source=social&utm_medium=leap&utm_campaign=linkedin&src=li-leap

Could I ask a favour? Can we stop ripping people apart? This young lady made a big mistake and she will probably never live it down. We can only hope she learns from it. When I read this article, do I think she sounds like a very entitled and unpleasant person? Of course I do! But all over the world, this sort of news is breaking and I believe it would be far more useful to focus on the qualities in our societies that make people think they have the right to behave this way.

Therefore, rather than destroying one person who had the unfortunate experience of being filmed - this can happen to anyone, anywhere, anytime, especially if you're being revolting - we can't forget that abhorrent behaviour is on the rise all over the world - terrible racism, misogyny, homophobic attacks, and much more.

I am all for raising awareness around these issues and stopping the rise of hate, but shaming a person doesn't fix what is broken. I wish for a world where we no longer feel gleeful ripping people apart, and focus, instead, on making our world better for everyone #socialmedia #courtofpublicopinion #viral #shame https://temasektimes.wordpress.com/2019/02/03/why-jovina-choi-is-now-singapores-public-enemy-number-one/?fbclid=IwAR0duQDcBEowLHTpoScILFlA9vBLn0RJGiwrEnzCYDm42Ms16ABdY3cckVc

I’m collecting feedback from IBM employees across Asia Pacific on the benefits of creating a social leadership culture right across the company – all levels, roles and functions.

Here are the top five benefits IBM’s professionals are sharing with me:

1. Growing belief in the effectiveness of strategic social selling
2. Bigger networks globally, opening doors to opportunities for IBM and its employees
3. Clients learning about IBM from the content employees are willingly sharing
4. Growing self-confidence and belief they are in control of their careers
5. Increased internal visibility within IBM, which increases confidence in future opportunities

I’d say building a social leadership culture looks worthwhile, wouldn’t you?

It’d be a shame to get left behind… #socialleadership #employeeadvocacy #IBM

This is a really great round up and reminder of how to present yourself - not just digitally, but in all ways. Number two is interesting.... alienating seems so strong, because If you believe in something strongly enough, well perhaps it's best you don't work with those customers? Point one is definitely the right starting point #personalbranding #socialleadership #credibility +Forbes

Here’s some Sunday inspiration that I hope everyone reads. One of the greatest blogs I’ve ever read, it captures the energy of new adventures and taking worthwhile risks, the deep disappointment when the journey is over, but the most important piece – gratitude for the incredible experience and a knowing that every step on the journey opens doors for the next incredible experience, so no need for bitterness, only gratefulness. That’s the way #Inspiration #Grateful #Tesla https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/were-you-laid-off-tesla-so-i-cayle-hunter/?fbclid=IwAR1LM-ztegIxow1VmUl7A9JRQrRLppHwj5H2mwc-L-Gn69szs3XhMeU2UKA

Living in one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations certainly has its moments. After two years living through the high season, here’s a couple of reflections on what it’s like to actually live in a tourist town #Phuket #highseason #respect
