We had the privilege of having a pre-wedding spa day at Spa Jema prior to my sister's wedding. It was EXCELLENT. Such a unique and relaxing environment with wonderful service. It was the perfect way to unwind and have some fun prior to tying the knot. I cannot say enough great things about Jennifer and staff. We will definitely be back!!

Couples massage for our anniversary, yes there is a dog and it is annoying, the staff tried to persuade us to keep the dog in the room, I had to demand it be removed. Massage was rough, I don't think they know what they're doing. They took us 45mins late also, causing a parking ticket. Way better options out there, this place is a joke.

Just came back from a wonderful lunchtime manicure. The manicurist was personable and professional. The space is very comfortable. I asked to be given a tour to see the massage rooms, pedicure area and sauna, very nice! I will definitely be going back and recommending to all my friends and co-workers. I was also greeted by the friendly dog, Wolfie - I love when businesses have mascots!

FIRST OFF I RATE SPA JEMA NO STARS. I previously worked in a very elegant salon & spa for 4 years, I know everything there is to know about salon & spas. My boyfriend wanted to surprise me with a nice relaxing day together at spa jema. I've never been there before and didn't know anything about the place. When we walked in there I thought it was very nice and clean until A DOG CAME UP TO US. the employees smiled and said that's our dog...blah blah blah then called the dog over to them. I was already 100% dissatisfied with this experience. That is so unprofessional and dirty I'm not a dog person to begin with so I knew my "spa day" would not meet my criteria. While I was getting my massage she had the dog in the freakiing room. It was barking and breathing loudly the whole time, while the lady talked to the dog. She wasn't even that good and my massage cost $85 for 45 mins. This place is absolutely ridiculous. I WOULD NEVER RETURN TO SPA JEMA IF THE SERVICES WERE FREE! WORST SERVICE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

Love the space, love Linda who has done two facials and a body scrub for me. Their hours are great and they are always super friendly, (even when I was 15 minutes late to my appointment!)

I wasn't very satisfied with the experience. I didn't like that there was a dog in the spa, it barked a lot during my massage which made me uncomfortable and the masseuse herself was horrible. She rushed through my entire massage, and pressed hard enough to bruise me, going in deep to the knots without warming up the muscles. I'm bruised right now on my arms and feel awful, it hurts to even type. When I asked her about warming up slowly she just said that she had already warmed it up. I have been getting massages since I was thirteen and when I went to the room she treated me like I never had gotten a massage before. Even if you dislike your clients, I paid $85 and tipped her more to be polite, the least you could do is make me feel wanted and like you cared about my well being! I don't usually write reviews but this was the worst experience at a spa I ever had and it is affecting my work and will for days until I heal. I only hope she didn't damage anything permanently.

I had the pleasure of having a girls day at Spa Jema with my mother and sister. When we arrived we were greeted by Wolf. (If you have visited there then you will know who I am talking about) The whole staff was extremely friendly, professional and concerned with our comfort.I was overwhelmed by the amount of knowledge and experise each of the staff members have. They were all strategically based and performed well above average, in their area of pampering. It was a very relaxed and comforting environment. We were there all day and never felt rushed. We were able to visit with each other. This was my first time at a spa, but I will never visit another. Thanks, Jen, Portia, Julie, Kristen and Dana for everything. You helped make our day the best girls day ever.

Today was my first visit to spa jema. I googled spa open Sunday's and this was one of the results, along with esspa in fox chapel. Since I've already been to esspa and wasn't overly impressed with the treatment I received, I decided to give spajema a shot. I got a champagne facial, a maternity massage, and a chai spice body scrub. All products at spajema are eminence, which is certified organic and of the highest quality. All three treatments were incredible. I get massaged every week but I was blown away by the tiny girl Portia who did my massage! It was literally one of the best massages I've ever had. The facial was great as well, very relaxing and informative. (no steam, thankfully, since it's too hot for that! And rebecca did not use tools for extraction, which is another plus!) the owner if the spa did my scrub and she was wonderful, definitely the most personable of all the girls I encountered. While the ambience on the second floor isn't great, that (for me) is not what counts... I could be in someones basement and enjoy a great massage. The prices are very good, and the only reason I'm giving spajema a 4 out of 5 is because the 2 girls I enoucntered on arriving were not exactly welcoming, to say the very least. But again, the owner (whose name is escaping me) was so nice and she is doing a great job, bringing an all organic spa to Pittsburgh! Definitely give this place a chance!! You will not be disappointed.
