ordered a wine and a sandwich at the bar and immediately people sat next to me inquiring about happy hour. bartender said it was in 20 minutes. sipping my just poured wine i looked at the time. she served them and later told them she didn't ring them up bc she knew they would get it . with my wine almost gone the bartender asked if i wanted another and i said sure. took maybe a sip, and she came around and asked for check. i was charged full price for both wines. she said she had no control over it as it was b4 4pm. the 2nd wine was less then 5 min b4 happy hour to be sure if not 4...but asked why i didn't get the same consideration as those next to me...she said nothing. i left my usual 25% tip and left. 2 wines and a straight BLT sandwich over 22 dollars without a tip.

This is not a fancy place, but it is an amazing place. The food is good. Burgers and fries type fair. Some of the burgers are a serious challenge in size and toppings! Other offerings are pretty creative...I'm from Rhode Island and I've never never seen our classic calamari on top of pasta as a dish.....but why not? The service is amazing. We are new to town and went with a friend from the area. It was crowded but the waitress really went out of her way to make room for us and other regular patrons gave up their chairs so we could sit. They have a band at night and dancing, fun to hang even if you don't get out on the floor. This is a local "hole in the wall" type of place. It has the great home town hospitality people write about. Come expecting that and enjoy!

Being new to town, I have been trying a number of different places to eat and recently found this little hole in the wall. This place has a decent sized menu, from which I had the classic staple, the Bacon Cheese burger. The burger itself was fantastic, cooked to the doneness I enjoy (med-rare), well seasoned and tall. The fries were home-made, and are exactly what you would expect from a good bar. The pricing is reasonable given the quality of product served up, and I look forward to coming back sometime and trying something new!

Went here for drinks and dinner but upon walking in we were informed of a $5.00 cover charge. Opted to leave instead. An admission fee to dine and drink is rediculous and my willingness to spend money should be enough. Especially given the other reviews here about the horrible food.

Ok, its a Friday night. We just got out of a wedding. We were with another couple and were passing Whippersnapper and said "lets go check it out". Its 11:50 pm. LOL. Anyway, guy at the door says its a 5 dollar cover per person. We thought that was a little bit much since it was so late. We tried to negotiate 10 for the four of us. Door Man said he could not and he was just doing his job. I don't know, If I was the owner, it would have taken the ten, plus the drinks we would have bought. Their loss, the place was dead, we would have got it hopping !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whippersnappers hasn't shared anything with you.
