chilly and windy day in Windsor. The queen is clogging the internet with  her torrent downloads, it feels like bytes come through a thin straw

I'm using Office 2011 for MAC and no problems - what version are you using Vinxi? We could 'lend' you a copy of Office 2011

I went into the store having booked an appointment and describing in the notes what the issue was. As I got into the store there was no indication of who to contact to register. I managed to register with an Apple employee apparently. I say apparently because after 10 minutes' wait another Genius came along and told me that I wasn't registered. So I was again starting at the bottom of the queue. Finally my turn came, my iphone was looked at and only at this point (even though in the appointment notes I stated "screen smashed") I ws told that there were no spares to repair my phone. I asked ofr a replacement accepting to £100 more. No replacements available. Apple, why should I pay a premium if the amazing customer service is no longer there and iOS is honestly getting long in the tooth. An equivalent or better Android phone costs £200 less and customer care is the same.
