Exceptional French cuisine in an elegant setting perfect for a special occasion or for a fancy dinner out. The prices are a bit steep, but the food does no disappoint. The savory dishes are excellent and desserts here are amazing and large enough to share. The service is very high quality and although they take their time, the wait is worth it. Highly recommend.

Not so great at all. What a waste of large ammount of money!Menu choice on website confusing. We wanted to split our food due dietary restrictions and portion control was told they couldn't do it asked again said yes it would be $ 10.00 extra per plate served we said ok. Then food shows up not split. They say do it yourself that"s just the charge for privelage to split their food do it yourself.. Then automatic 18% gratuity charged also. Never again. It wasn't about the money for us we split meals for portion control poor service and atttitude.I wish we had dining somewhere else......

This is a 4* restaurant, but that doesn't mean the chef needs to completely stuff his guests. Honestly, be prepared for more than you can eat. The food was very good but lacked the final graces and nuances that mark a truly memorable event. Like the room it caters to those who enjoy vanilla tastes. If this restaurant is one of the best in San Francisco, should this not be one of the best meals I have had in my life? Not quite.

This is a great French restaurant. There are a lot of options to customize your 3, 4, or 5 course meal. You should definitely try the seared black cod and the rack of lamb. For any dish, you can pay a supplement to add truffle shavings. When the staff offers the add-on, they show you an entire box of truffles. The smell is absolutely divine and extremely tempting!! Fantastic food and service. La Foli is a great location for a dinner date.

Fantastic night at La Folie, with superb service and delicious food. Recommended dishes: 1. Butter Poached Lobster 2. Roti of Quail and Squab 3. Baked Alaska Skip these: 1. Warm Pig Feet 2.Tasting of Passot Roe Keeping this one short, since we all know and love La Folie. Definitely give this place a try if you haven't already. Better than Gary Danko! :)

Out of this world! I've never spent (nearly) this much on a meal, and was surprised to find it was worth every penny. The best meal I've ever eaten, bar none. Pretty much every course had us asking, "How did they do that?!?" The service was exemplary: Mandy answered all our questions, made us feel perfectly at home, presented each course beautifully, gave great wine recommendations, and disappeared whenever she wasn't needed.
