I've heard it so many times [heck, I've done it myself hundreds of times], I've said 'no' to something and then felt compelled to explain why I can't do it. The explanation is very often unnecessary. You have decided to say 'no' to a task, a commitment - whatever -you do not need to validate your decision.

Okay, let's be honest. How easy is it to get lost down a rabbit hole? WAY TOO EASY, right? "I'm just gonna check Facebook for a second"; "I'm going to answer this one quick email"; "I'll only be on this website for minute". Want to know how to get more accomplished, more of the important stuff? REMOVE THE TEMPTATION for one thing. Stay the course and avoid the rabbit holes as best as you possibly can. Start there. Good Luck!

Don't misunderstand me, time away is necessary, but your professional life should not be one of drudgery. What can you be doing TODAY, to ensure that the next 5-10 years of your life are blissful?

What an AWESOME list! Couldn't we all use a little extra resilience? Now who's willing to give me a "Oorah!"

Seeing this post from friend #PatriciaHammond  today is so perfect! I just replied to yet another email asking me for advice on becoming a chef. What?
I wrote an article on #Hubpages  about becoming a chef without going to culinary school. Of the many, many articles that I have written, this one generates the most questions. People want and often need to reinvent themselves. And it can be done.

As a Pinterest fanatic, I knew that it was only a matter of time! The potential of this tool is very powerful. So for all you fellas out there, not yet using Pinterest, I'd like to know what's holding you back?  Your replies will be helpful.

Warner, NH recently hosted Van McLeod to discuss the importance of collaboration. The topic is a critical one and the folks participating in the discussions clearly were in agreement. What are your thoughts on collaboration? I'd be very interested in learning YOUR thoughts. Also, please mention if you work for a for-profit or not-for-profit. I know that we can all learn from one another on this topic.
