I've tried the platter here, and that was really tasty. The best thing about this place that I've discovered so far, though, is the outdoor patio. It's really nice to sit out here with your platter and some beer or wine. Another plus: dogs are allowed.

The go to spot for Mediterranean in Hayes Valley, they make a great Gyro. Beware the "yogurt drink" because as it may sound like a Lassi, it is not the same thing. This yogurt drink is very tangy and bitter, just like more liquified yogurt. It isn't bad, but it can be very surprising if it's not what you're expecting. The staff is always friendly and the seating is comfortable.

I really enjoyed the casual atmosphere and the price was pretty good for the area, but I thought the food was rather underwhelming. I ordered a lamb and beef gyro wrap and a yogurt drink. Granted, I'd never had a yogurt drink (warning: it's not like a lassi, this stuff is SOUR), but the wrap was just a few things thrown in a tortilla without a sauce; fairly uninspired. I'd probably go again, but only because I live in the area, and wouldn't go out of my way for it.

Great falafel wrap and soup! Enjoy the sun or relax inside. They offer beer & wine and have some great vegan-able items. The falafel is some of the best I've had, crunchy but chewy and great with their tahini.

I could eat here everyday! I've had the combination platter and salad with lamb numerous times, and the food is always fresh and delicious. The salad is always well balanced: A perfect combination of meat and veggies (not too much of each) and the pita bread served with the mezzes is soft and warm. It has a comfortable seating and a large outdoor patio area. The service is always attentive and the food comes promptly and in generous portions. This is the kind of place I would choose to have a laid back saturday lunch to catch up with a friend.

Can't stop eating the beef shish kebab! The hummus may be the best in the city or even the country. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly. I frequent this place weekly and will be sad to see it close in September. However, I will be waiting for it's return in 2016! In the mean time, I'll be searching the city for their food truck!

Good falafels, great outdoor patio and of course great kebabs. Hayes & Kebab is an order at the counter-style casual kebob restaurant in Hayes Valley with a great outdoor patio for warm days. Inside can get crowded but there is plenty of seating anyway. Service tends to be pretty quick and they have a plethora of options on the menu to order from. Very casual restaurant and a good option in Hayes Valley. Pricing is reasonable. Family friendly as well.

This place gets pretty busy during lunch hours. It's great to come here for a beer and one of their killer lamb/beef greek salads after a long day at work. There's a lovely outdoor area that gets pretty warm and sunny in the afternoon! Everyone I know is sad to hear that this location is closing because we love it so much! If you're in a hurry, get pita bread and hummus or stay a while and try their special tea, homemade baklava and enjoy their free wifi!
