I have a series of Kivy video tutorials, walking through building a simple app from scratch in ~10 minute increments, including cool Kivy stuff like compiling for Android. I posted them here once before shortly after I started, but I've made a lot more since then!

There haven't been any for a little while, partly because I ran out of ideas that really grabbed me, so...to any Kivy users out there, what do you want to hear about!?

(For anyone that doesn't know, Kivy is a graphical framework for Python that amongst other things is highly cross platform, working on Linux, OS X, Windows plus Android, iOS and devices like the Raspberry Pi)

In Kivy crash course 13 I show how to use Kivy's settings widgets, useful for storing persistent settings in a file along with a nice user interface for changing them.

In my 14th crash course video, I talk about how to use the ScreenManager widget to add different screens to your Kivy program. I also mention the second Kivy programming contest, which you should all enter at http://kivy.org/#contest

Really helpful! But I'm struggling with transitions and layouts at the same time. Could you please help me via e-mail?

In this video, I examine layout in Kivy by ignoring the Layout classes and setting position/size from scratch...only to reinvent Layouts because they're so useful.

This entry in the crash course shows how to make your own kivy properties, which you can then use to access the full power of kivy's event system within your own widgets or classes.
