Everyone in town is sick and tired of this company! 80 dollars a month for dial-up speeds and it doesn't stay connected for longer than a half hour without dropping out! I don't even game, but you can't even do NORMAL internet tasks without major effort. Want to upload a 60 second video? That's going to take you 3 hours! And you won't be able to do anything else because apparently they don't have full duplex bandwidth. I'm loosing money right now because I can't do simple production work, wherein I need to download files from my email box and upload a video. Anywhere else I'd be done by now, but with Amery Temcom/Northwest Communications THERE IS NOT ENOUGH TIME IN A DAY TO ACCOMPLISH SIMPLE TASKS. Seriously. $80 for an intermittent, unstable, slow 150kps signal. It's ridiculous! It's not like that can't afford infrastructure upgrades! They have a monopoly in all these small western Wisconsin towns. Someone PLEASE come put them out of business! We need ISP competition in West Wisconsin!!

World class wildlife preserve. Just today, as a resident of the riverbank, I observed many American Eagles nesting near beaver brook. Amery, as a (closer than) "up-north" tourist destination is going to boom in the coming years. I'm proud of the Apple River Flowage management district (Lincoln township, DNR, or whoever) for striving to maintain a fair water quality and protect the natural wildlife. As well as keeping the property taxes low for the lucky property owners along this gorgeous stretch of Earth.

Incredible place for stereo photography geeks! Art History Alert! Perhaps Bennett will become known as the godfather of virtual reality for his pioneering use of stereoscopic imagery. I took the opportunity to link the most historic photographic studio in America, to the future, by creating 360 degree photospheres which I can view in the Oculus Rift. This was run as conscious conceptual art. Knowing the chronology. I was first to visit 360 photos upon H.H Bennett Studio!! Artistic statement to the virtual reality, present.

I truly enjoyed a veggie omelet and a cup of coffee one recent Saturday morning. Sitting in the front, for a picture window view of main street Amery, I was comfortable and pleased. I relaxed and used the wifi to read my email while waiting. And even though there was a large church group meeting in back, service was excellent and timely. My only criticism would be portion size. I've have huge fulfilling veggie omelets before. Random drive over in coon rapids.. for 7 or 8 bucks, ya kinda want more! then a 2 egg deal. More MUSHROOMS!I had to order an extra egg and toast, after the main dish, because I was still hungry! In the end, I got out of there for 15 bucks and had a great morning. It's a fine place to visit. But I wish they would have fed me!
