BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS THREE-DAY MUSIC FESTIVAL RETURNING TO SANDY BEACHES OF CANE GARDEN BAY WITH DIVERSE LINEUP
Tortola, British Virgin Islands, 18thApril 2012 – BVI Music Fest organisers are eager and excited to return the islands’ three-day music jam to the sandy shores of Cane Garden Bay Beach.

The much anticipated festival will be held on the weekend of the 25-27th May, coinciding with Memorial Day weekend in the United States – a long holiday and popular time that annually drives a number of festival-goers and boaters from the USVI, Puerto Rico, and the surrounding region.

Each year BVI Music Fest showcases the talent of its local entertainers and award-winning artists in the genres of reggae, calypso, and rhythm and blues. This year’s event sticks close to tradition and will include a diverse representation of musical acts featuring British Rock n’ Roll, Party Soca, Dancehall, Old School Motown hits, R&B, Latin Spice, Fusion Jazz and Roots Rock Reggae. A full list of headliners and performers will be revealed on Monday, 23rd April.

“We have been eager to host Music Fest again on the beach. From its inception, people have come to know and recognise this festival as one of the top beach jams in the Caribbean. After a three-year hiatus from having the stage set within footsteps of the sea, we look forward to seeing the party goers, music lovers, locals and tourists dancing and enjoying themselves on the water’s edge,” said Rhodni Skelton, Music Fest Committee Event Coordinator.

Now in its twelfth year, BVI Music Fest continues to bring world-renowned artists to the BVI stage. Past performers include Keyshia Cole, Trey Songz, Boyz II Men, Fantasia, Beenie Man, Wyclef Jean, Destra Garcia, Luciano, Lucky Dube, The Temptations, Roberta Flack, Percy Sledge,Shurwayne Winchester, Allison Hinds, The Stylistics, Maxi Priest, and DaddyYankee.
