Please spend a few minutes to email President Obama and ask him to protect the future of the environment for his children, as well as ours, and refuse to grant license for the Keystone XL, a new pipeline from the tar sands in Alberta to the Gulf of Mexico. The President alone decides whether this pipeline is in the nation's best interest.
The record setting floods, temperatures, fires, and melting of the polar ice has proven global warming is no theory
but is very real. Spending huge sums of money and wasting precious time to develop such a massive infrastructure to poison our planet is not in our nation's or our world's interest. Please remind the President he was elected because people believed he would work for the benefit of the people not just a few business interests. If you would like to read an article on this critical issue check out the following link http://www.cascadiaweekly.com/pdfs/issues/201129.pdf or google Keystone XL pipeline. Spread information and a call others to invest a few minutes of their time to let the President know how they feel about this critical issue. Collectively we can make a difference. SPEAK UP, ACT UP & CHANGE THE FUTURE!

Thanks, SunRay, for sharing the video, keep up the 'Green' work, we need it. http://habitile.com is the site up by Aurora Mahassine, in the Oakland area. She invented her vegetative cladding unit, the Habitile, the green vertical surfaces indoors and outdoors, even on skyscrapers to 'green' cities of the near future. These would go great with your living roofs.

Masonry Heater: Again SunRay puts his own twist on an old idea. Masonry or mass heaters have been built in Europe for centuries and are now becoming more popular in the U.S. because of their great efficiency. The well insulated fire box, fed with air from outside the house, burns so hot that little smoke is released. The flew gases travel up from the fire box until they hit the soap stone floor of the oven where they are directed down past past copper coils heating water for the radiant floor heat and domestic hot water. The flew gases then travel around the bench heating the stone mass of the heater itself before finally traveling up through the chimney. Only a few hours of fire are required to charge this elegant heat battery and heat the concrete floor, both radiating the heat for hours after the fire is out.SunRay's is currently designing a masonry heater that will have a steam drive alternator that will charge the batteries for and electric vehicle as well. Watch for up coming video links on the progress this latest project.
