I can see why Humphry Slocombe is a hot spot for ice cream. The location is convenient if you're eating or walking around the Ferry Plaza Building and get the sudden craving for ice cream. The storefront is quite simple - the menu is written on a white board, thus allowing for change from day to day. They have pretty amazing flavors that can draw in a crowd! I had the Blue Bottle Vietnamese Coffee flavor, and it tasted exactly like what I expected. Strong coffee flavor, but not too much of a bitter taste either. They really mastered the ice cream/strong coffee combination. I'm not too big of a fan of coffee or ice cream in general, but I definitely enjoyed this ice cream! The lines can get long. I came for a single scoop right after my meal at Hog's, and it completed my night! It was a few minutes before closing, too but there was still a crowd of people waiting for ice cream. The price was decent. Around $4 for a school, I believe - but with the location and everything, I can pretty much say that the price is on point. I definitely want to come back and try the Secret Breakfast and Caramel Apple. Seems like those are two popular flavors!

They don't charge you extra for a cone versus a cup - Hallelujah! I probably tried every flavor because they were all so good and unique, but the fluffer nutter caught my fancy since I am a nut butter fan. The secret breakfast was amazing as well and so full of flavor and crunch. The horchata is also a winner and very well spiced and balanced. You kind of can't go wrong. You want to believe a place is worth it when you stand in line at the Ferry building for almost half and hour for ice cream. Have no fear because Humphry Slocombe won't disappoint.

Ice cream flavors here are DECADENT. Cream cheese chocolate chip, sea salt chocolate, and Vietnamese coffee were just a few of their flavors. I had a scoop of the olive oil flavor, which tasted like a buttery vanilla with a tinge of lemon. Make sure you're not too full before visiting this place because the ice cream will fill you up. The cone was also crunchy and delicious - and I normally order ice cream in a cup. If you're a sweets person, you'll love this place. If you're not a sweets person, you'll find a few (but not too many) lighter flavors offered here as well. There's also a good amount of outside seating on the sidewalk.

Secret breakfast and malted milk chocolate are two of the best ice creams I've ever had. New flavors all the time so it's always worth a trip to the mission.

I waited the usual minutes in line. Humph Buncombe I like the look and feel of the place. I liked the ice cream but was not blown away (maybe I'm just not an ice cream connoisseur) I ordered the gooey dory, cookies and cream and strawberry and cream). The place is good to check out if you're already in the neighborhood, I wouldn't go out of my way and wait in line for 30 minutes to get this ice cream though.

New flavors every day. This is probably my favorite ice cream place, but sometimes the line gets silly billy on a hot day. But man, do they know what they are doing with ice cream. I tried this honey bourbon brown sugar graham vanilla crunch thing. I pretty much forgot about my child support and the warrants for my arrest and was in ice cream X-tacy. Go here and eat everything they have. Just close your eyes and pick something at random and you won't regret it.

It's fantastic. An ice cream shop that's worth the hype. Tried several flavors- all great especially the salted crack caramel. I don't know what the proprietary mix they use but I am sure that if you send it to the middle east, they will stop fighting and enjoy life and ice cream instead. Long lines in summer.

Delicious, non-traditional flavors of ice cream like "Secret Breakfast" (the secret *might* be bourbon - shhh!) and they'll happily let you sample a few flavors before deciding. They're all tasty and super rich, but they also have some sorbet which is lighter. Clean, fast but not hurried, and quirky. Good spot to bring friends.
