Some of the best ice cream I've ever eaten and my personal favorite in SF. This hipster shop creates really cool flavors like peanut butter curry, Vietnamese coffee, and other exotic ones that cater to the SF/Bay crowd. Secret breakfast is their most popular, with bourbon and cornflakes in a delicious vanilla bean. Every time I get it the flavor is on point, the texture is perfect with the crunchy cornflakes contrasting with the smooth vanilla bean, and it's not too sweet and surprisingly refreshing. I'm always amazed at how fast I can finish a scoop. I've sampled other flavors such as horchata and Harvey milk and graham cracker with honey, and those are good as well. While the Mission diner setting offers the most flavors, there is also a stand in the Ferry building as well as at the Yard at Mission rock. A SF staple and solid, amazing ice cream.

The Bay Area is overrun with ice cream shops, but Humphry Slocombe is doing it right. Their ice creams range from traditional flavors to a few more out of the box varieties. My go-to is the Blue Bottle Vietnamese Coffee- delicious, and I have soft spot for Bay Area businesses teaming up to create such a dynamic duo. Secret Breakfast is a crowd favorite- a vanilla base with bourbon and corn flakes.

Great ice cream with innovative and well-executed base flavors. The Blue Bottle Vietnamese Coffee is nice and bitter, and the Malted Dulce de Leche was to die for.

Since going back and trying more flavors, I am loving Ample Hills. The salted crack caramel is addicting. Maybe now that there is usually a line I feel more excited to eat here. But the line moves fast and the staff is very nice and friendly. I want to go back and keep trying more flavors. Last time I had one with maker's mark and fudge, yummmmm.

I can see why Humphry Slocombe is a hot spot for ice cream. The location is convenient if you're eating or walking around the Ferry Plaza Building and get the sudden craving for ice cream. The storefront is quite simple - the menu is written on a white board, thus allowing for change from day to day. They have pretty amazing flavors that can draw in a crowd! I had the Blue Bottle Vietnamese Coffee flavor, and it tasted exactly like what I expected. Strong coffee flavor, but not too much of a bitter taste either. They really mastered the ice cream/strong coffee combination. I'm not too big of a fan of coffee or ice cream in general, but I definitely enjoyed this ice cream! The lines can get long. I came for a single scoop right after my meal at Hog's, and it completed my night! It was a few minutes before closing, too but there was still a crowd of people waiting for ice cream. The price was decent. Around $4 for a school, I believe - but with the location and everything, I can pretty much say that the price is on point. I definitely want to come back and try the Secret Breakfast and Caramel Apple. Seems like those are two popular flavors!

the Peanut butter fudge ice cream was all right. The sidewalk in front of the shop is filthy. It has been that was since they opened. Have a little pride folks. It can be cleaned well with only a few buckets of water.

I love their flavor combinations. From simple to strange, they've nailed it. I love taking out of town people here.

I waited the usual minutes in line. Humph Buncombe I like the look and feel of the place. I liked the ice cream but was not blown away (maybe I'm just not an ice cream connoisseur) I ordered the gooey dory, cookies and cream and strawberry and cream). The place is good to check out if you're already in the neighborhood, I wouldn't go out of my way and wait in line for 30 minutes to get this ice cream though.
