I just rated Dear White People a "Must Go!" on Fandango. What did you think of it?
DEAR WHITE PEOPLE follows the stories of four black students at Winchester University, where a riot breaks out over a popular 'African American' themed party thrown by a white...

VERY well said. applause

THIS is still going on. It's a crisis in my view of both the ineptitude of the Nigerian government and the evil that men do.  I have both family members and friends who are Muslim and doing something like this would never occur to them as a way of making a so-called political, anti-female education or anti-Western statement.

In my view there's no room for Sharia in a developing democratic nation and that's exactly what these Boko Haram fools want in Northern Nigeria.  To kidnap innocent children, little girls in an attempt to make a statement and then threaten to sell into forced marriages at $12 USD a piece is a cowards move.

Just to clarify a few things, although this is happening in Northern Nigeria the perpetrators are NOT Nigerians.  They're from the neighbouring West African nations of Chad and Cameroon.  Not saying that there aren't some Nigerians involved with this but for the most part it's outside influences at the root of this situation.

This is why the Nigerian government is ultimately at fault because President Goodluck Idiot Johnathan should have addressed Boko Haram years ago and eradicated them by any means necessary.  There are a number of international organisations and several Western and African governments coming together including the USA via AfriCOM to find these 230+ girls and return them to their families and loved ones.

One such organisation is +Amnesty International and I for one support their efforts and have for some time over the years.  We need more people to raise their voices in support of finding these girls especially those who are a part of the global Muslim community. Don't allow extremist to hijack your religion and faith. Because from a Western perspective that's exactly what is and has happened.

I for one am putting a fatwā out on Boko Haram In šāʾ Allāh and everyone who thinks and acts like them.  It's 2014 and things like this shouldn't be happening in our world.  That's all.  Carry on and let your anger over this situation lead to actions which assist in finding these daughters of Nigeria.

On this day in 1868, the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution, after having been ratified by the necessary 28 out of 37 states at the time, was unconditionally declared part of the supreme law of the land. The amendment guaranteed citizenship to anyone born in the United States and prohibited states from denying citizens (including former slaves) of the right to life, liberty or property without legal cause or reason... although it took nearly 100 years for this principle to be enforced.

This offers a staggering perspective on Africa's size. There are 320 million people in Africa that do not have access to safe, clean water.

Wonderful park for the kids. We came just for the playground, and that area had a nice cozy feel to it.

This is right around the corner from my job, so it's a nice place to relax on a lunch break. Also they have the farmers market out here in the summer months, and you can find lots of good things. Overall it's a great little anchor to the Historic Norcross area.

I really wanted to give it 5 stars - like really REALLY - because the pizza was just so doggone good. The crust had a great char on it, with just a bit too much darkness. We had the pomodorini, which was excellent. The tomatoes were ridiculously good. Fresh basil was great, and the cheese was just the right blend of chewy and cheesy. Overall it was a great pie. The atmosphere, however, was completely unexpected. Since it was just me & wifey, we were able to quickly find seating. Parties of 3 and up were left standing for quite some time. In Antico's defense, this was a Saturday night, so for such a popular place this should be expected. What appeared to be lack of A/C was also tough to deal with, though it really wasn't the issue. A small building jam-packed with people and three brick ovens was the issue. Overall the place is worth trekking to for a pizza, however you might want to scout a good night for you and the whole group to enjoy it together.

This is an excellent small park. Our kids had a blast at the playground, and the walking path was not too long but not too short. I was a little disappointed that we didn't find a grill, but maybe I missed it. The hidden gem in this park is so great. Be sure to follow the path behind the mill!

The wings weren't bad. They were flavorful enough, though the sauce was more of an Asian bbq than an American bbq sauce. The lady at the counter was very nice. If you were looking for a regular wing or sandwich spot with good service, they've definitely got it on the service end. I would go back. Lots of options on the menu, which I think is a good thing.
