There's definitely worse places to land...

This was my first ever solo outlanding, and I couldn't have found a better paddock.  Slightly uphill and reasonably level, and about 1000m long with the furrows all running straight into wind :)

My new ride for the season!  Certainly a step up from the old Jantars :-)

FQO belongs to a friend who has agreed to lease it to me.  First flight yesterday, managed 310km in difficult conditions, but was very happy with the way it handles.

A beautiful piece by Natalie Andaloro to accompany some of Balleka's always wonderful footage :D

Nice landing, awful stop :-(
I'll only make that mistake once...

A wonderfully simple and evocative short animated film. Four minutes that beats most feature films.

Another amazing pencil sketch from my 13 year old daughter Madeline.  I was thinking Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones, but apparently it is a realistically styled portrait of the character Elsa, from Frozen.

Great day flying the old faithful Jantar Std 2 yesterday, pair flying with my friend Bob in his DG-200.  Started out on a 500km FAI triangle but cut it short to 425km after choosing to go the wrong way round.  Good conditions with thermals to 10,000ft and beyond, but very hard work to get in the core and rarely above 6kts.  Started out in the blue at Cunderdin, then into Cu's near Bonnie Rock, then blue again on the return from Kalannie.  Still, was a good chance to test out the new gliding computer :)
