Last week, for the first time in 5 years, the Royal Barges Procession sailed through the heart of Bangkok. These stunning boats represent 700 years of Thai culture and history  and I was able to get some quite nice shots as they passed in front of the Grand Palace

Which Beach At Railay Beach Is Best?

Unarguably one of the most beautiful beaches in Asia, Railay Beach actually has 3 beaches in close proximity - Railay Beach West, Railay Beach East and Phra Nang Beach. It’s four beaches if you count nearby Tonsai Bay. Here’s a quick rundown of what each beach at Railay is about.

New Photo Essay: The Temple Of A Million Beer Bottles
http://travelhappy.info/thailand/temple-of-a-million-beer-bottles/

Wat Lan Khaud, (literally, Temple of A Million Bottles) in Thailand's Sisaket Province is a bona fide, fully functioning Buddhist temple that has been built from over 1.5 million green and brown beer bottles - not just the main temple itself, but also the monk's living quarters and even the crematorium. The abbott began collecting bottles back in 1984 because he was unimpressed with how they were littering the local landscape. The temple is now a monument to recycling and moderate drinking.

been away from here for a few weeks while travelling - still looks lovely, but is there any progress on a favourite button or accessing stuff you +1 on Google Plus so you can read it later? For me I just don't have the time to sit and read stuff I'm interested in as it scrolls by in the list. Without a one click way of marking stuff to come back to, I'm a bit lost. Any thoughts appreciated

This shot is from Hafsaa Thila, one of the many spectacular dive sites in the Maldives, which is THE place to go if you want almost-guaranteed encounters with manta rays, whale sharks and more fish than you know what to do with. Not so great for coral, sadly, after the huge die-off during the 90s thanks to changing ocean conditions. More photos and suggestions of where to dive in my latest post http://divehappy.com/maldives/best-scuba-diving-in-the-maldives/
