Story
Introduction
Holding a Master's Degree and Ph.D from the University of Michigan, David Moser first went to China in 1987 as a visiting scholar at Peking University, joining a translation team to translate Douglas Hofstadter's book Godel, Escher Bach into Chinese.  He has lived in Beijing since 1996, teaching linguistics and translation at Beijing Foreign Studies University, and making occasional appearances on Chinese TV.  In addition to teaching with CET, he plays jazz piano in numerous Beijing jazz groups, and still writes articles on Chinese language and culture.
