Upon taking his oath as #NextSG, Antonio Guterres called for the inclusion of young people at the decision-making table.

As part of our strategic priorities, we hope to work with Mr. Guterres and the entire UN System towards increased youth participation at the #UN.

Over the past two days youth gathered in Geneva for the first session of the United Nations Forum on Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law on "Widening the Democratic Space: the role of youth in public decision-making" and we were there with 16 WFUNA Youth Network representatives from 10 different countries.

WFUNA Youth Delegate Programme Multiplier Alexander Kauschanski was also among the panelists and advocated for stronger youth participation at the United Nations: http://www.wfuna.org/news/united-nations-forum-on-human-rights-democracy-and-the-rule-of-law #youthdecide #forumHRDem
