Hey Eric I totally agree with you on this topic! I'm not a mechanic myself but I see this a lot with mechanics! I recently turned 17 and my grandpa helped me finance a white 1991 Toyota Camry DX V6. This thing is clean to. It came with 77K miles, meant to take an old lady to the grocery store. I paid $1500 for the car. This car is mechanically in tune. But I love the car and it may not be the best looking one at my school but it gets me to destination with no problems. My auto teacher told me he was envious of my find (I get told that by a lot of adults with kids my age when they ask). But I just wanna say that sometimes its better to look at the older cars because you'll be getting something that was built to last. Thanks for all of your advise in your videos to it has changed my outlook on vehicles.
