We started to receive a bunch of bug reports (crashes, performance issues, repaint issues) around the combination of KWin, Kubuntu 12.10, Mesa 9 and Intel drivers. Seems like mostly IvyBridge is affected.
I'm very concerned about that, especially that it appears just a few days before the release.
I just wish for once a smooth release and no surprises days before final release. Maybe next time do not integrate the latest Mesa version a week before the release - Mesa 8 is working just fine? Having time to actually do tests and being able to do fine tuning in KWin would be awesome. Of course that's not Kubuntu's fault given that the base system is done by Ubuntu.

There is similar problems on Arch Linux with the recent upgrade to mesa 9.0. If i choose Xrender as rendering option, there are no glitches, but opengl brings artifacts and slowiness on my intel HD 4000 on KDE 4.9.2.19 okt. 2012
Sooo... At least this time Kubuntu is not the only one to blame! :-)20 okt. 2012

Only positive side I have seen so far: When triggering an OSD (ie. changing volume via shortcut) while playing a fullscreen Flash movie, it doesn't stutter anymore while the OSD is shown. \o/21 okt. 2012
