Today we brewed a Courage Cocktail Radio Show which features a community based eldercare organization based in Chapel Hill called, The Charles House Association. What's the most beneficial alignment of resources for caring for our elders? Paul Klever, The Executive Director of The Charles House, has some innovative ideas which he shares with us in this radio broadcast . Broadcast live from the WCOM lpfm Carrboro, NC , Paul describes successful day programs designed around the needs of our elders and their families.

Episode #4 "Long Lives, Long View," Radio Series features Peter Stein, PhD of the Holocaust Speakers Bureau. Peter is a sociologist who studies the aging workforce. He is currently editing a book of essays from 20 people who are writing about what it means "to retire." In our second half of the program, Cherie Rosemond, PhD. The Director of the Partnerships in Aging Programs based at UNC Chapel Hill, describes the mission of PiAP and her team's innovative approaches to understanding aging in contemporary society. Cheers! Ready for your Courage Cocktail in a to-go cup? This week's flavor of the week is scented with Volunteers with a sweet side of Friends of the Chapel Hill Public Library. Sip quickly. This batch is too sweet and won't last very long. Martha Brunstein, President of the Friends of the Chapel Library, visits us. BTW The Friends raises over $100K per year for the library. Thanks to Martha and her team of inspired volunteers ALL of our neighbors benefit. Cheers!
