I came here once when I had a horrible fever for French Onion soup, and it was delicious. Not overly salty and with the standard melted cheese and croute on top. Five stars. Another time we dined there and ordered the cheese fondue, several fish and seafood dishes, a potato tart (pizza), salads, and the pork loin. The dishes were the standard French fare, but quite costly compared to places you would find in San Francisco. I guess we were paying for the ambiance, which I have no complaints about. The wine and cocktail list was excellent, and service was wonderful. We did not feel rushed, and service was impeccable.

Yesterday, I have got food poisoning from overpriced grilled salmon. High fever, still recovering :(

We like going to this restaurant from time to time. Particularly during the times when my husband craves for escargot. I like having their cheese fondue as well as the other menu items. It's a really good restaurant which makes you feel you are in Europe :)

A friend and I ate here years ago for a quick bite. We had the calamari, another appetizer, and some red wine. The wine was fantastic. The food was not. I left with a stomach ache and food poisoning shortly after. My friend became sick with food poisoning as well. I have not returned since.

Finding traditional French food that actually impresses my French husband can be quite the task, but he was blown away with the experience at Left Bank. Not only did the food take him straight back home, but the environment is upscale without being too snobby and the staff is very pleasant. My company also hosted a 40+ seat banquet in the party room and it was fantastic. I would more than recommend the Left Bank to anyone looking for a great experience on Santana Row.

Absolutely gorgeous palette of French delicacies. It's definitely one of my reasons to visit Santana Row once in a while. Loved the roasted duck - MAGRET DE CANARD AUX FRAMBOISES. Prices are a bit high, but justifiable for the awesome fare. Bon appétit.
