Y'know what would make #opendata a lot more useful? Ability to read the papers that describe the data.

Problem with g+ so far: "data finds data then people find people" No RSS+twit import means not enough data/artifacts to congregate around.

Ah, just discovered a cool Google+ hack: Use Google+ as your own private bookmarking service and also to jot down quick ideas and notes. How? Create a new circle and name it say My Notes . Then create a new contact using one of your other email addresses, and then drop yourself into this circle. Then share the stuff you want to this circle - web links, notes/ideas, even pictures and videos. They will all show up in your own new private circle. Anytime you want to view it - just click on the My Notes stream. And you can access it from anywhere on the web or mobile phone - with the great new Google+ App on it.

Anyone in my extended PLN had anything to do with the "Blog forever" project? Looking for opinions. Didn't take the survey but would be interested if any has.

A lot of us feel like this. Has anybody found any useful strategy?

Neil - its not just scientists. I got the same response from a bunch of IT people too (outlook was the only thing they wanted to look at). Be interesting to know if there's any alignment to personality types (e.g. myers-briggs, disc, etc).

It's a problem that the different interfaces for Google+ have different features. People assume what they can see others can to. I checked out the features of the Mobile sites in the help/ support. For example Apple gets less than android and both get less than the web site. It's obvious why but people then need to be aware and of the interface that the person they want to communicate with would be using. Too hard Google. (as it's Beta maybe it will get fixed I hope)

ah, another thing (not sure why I don't like it, but there's just too many little things that aren't quite right for me I think!)
