This was my first time in Texas, and I decided on Perry's as the place to see if Texas really does have the best steaks, and it did not disappoint! Everything was excellent! I had the crab cakes, chopped salad (unusually good!), and Filet Perry's (one of the best steaks I've ever had! Especially loved the lump crab meat on top!). The blueberry cucumber martini's were also the best drinks by far out of the selection. Definitely recommend and one of the best steakhouses I've been to, ever.

As a meat lover, this place was a must-try while visiting Austin. For starters, the jumbo lump crab cakes were delicious (and not very fishy-tasting coming from someone that doesn't love seafood). The Filet Perry was one of the best filet mignons we've had, especially being topped with crabmeat. The prime ribeye also had great flavor and was very tender. The herb garlic butter topping on the steaks made for an excellent sauce. For dessert, the crème brulée was a good choice, as was the warm chocolate cake. The servers were very attentive and friendly with fairly average prices for a high-end steak house.

I come here to show off to my outta town friends and family. Sometimes I'll come alone for just a steak at the bar. The New York strip is my new favorite here. All the sides are amazing, especially the cheesy potatoes au gratin. I leave here satisfied no matter what I order. Even if it's just a salad. Happy Hour is also another great exclamation mark at Perrys.

Friday lunch signature Pork Chop all the way! I know the lunch portion is supposedly smaller than the dinner portion, but man it's still a lot of food. I would get an appetizer or dessert, but the Pork Chop itself already does the job, especially when it comes with a side a Mashed Potatoes and Apple Sauce. I've never had a pork chop quite like Perry's; the meat is so flavorful...I don't know what they season the pork with but it's the perfect mixture of sweet and saltiness. I like how when they bring out the dishes that they cut the meat in front of you, and describe to you what each meat portion is and how you should eat them. I feel like the mashed potatoes are underrated here, mainly since the pork chop is so delicious. But eating the mashed potatoes as leftovers the next day was the best meal ever! "It's just mashed potatoes Gary. Calm down." Yes, yes it is just mashed potatoes, but I love it. I've been here a few times and the service is always excellent. But I want to make a shoutout to one particular waiter named Eli who made my dining experience wonderful. He was courteous and provided exceptional service to my table. Thanks Eli! My Friday lunches just got reserved for this place (on that note, make a reservation if you plan on dining here).

I finally came here for Friday pork chop lunch after all the hype and let me tell you, it lived up to the hype. We made a reservation online so there was no wait and walked right in. The waiter knew exactly why we were there and they delivered pork chops to our table very quickly- almost surprisingly fast. They cut the pork chops table side and explain the different parts including the delicious moist part to start with and the ribs. It comes with mashed potatoes and apple sauce for dipping plus bread on the side. For $12, it was a great meal and a wonderful way to get out of the office on a Friday. Not a one of us finished the chop and had leftovers to spare.
