Sometimes you run into display problems when using transparencies, spot and Pantone colors when you convert your print PDF documents to RGB for the web. Here's a fix.

We've got a new look to our website! We're excited about this new look - fresh colors, simplified layout, and mobile-friendly to boot. The new site also features some great portfolios that show off our web development, illustration, and photography skills; a fancy new blog; and best yet, our new services providing online marketing and social media planning and consulting. Change never looked so good! http://www.creativecatmedia.net

We’re excited to announce the launch of the "Investing in My Future: Smart Decisions" online financial literacy course we’ve been developing for the colleges of the Dallas County Community College District over the past several months. This course is designed to teach valuable financial skills to the students of DCCCD, such as developing a spending plan, saving for long-term goals, and determining when to use credit. A custom interface puts hand-drawn and CSS-animated illustrations front and center, complimenting the course content which is presented as audio and text for accessibility. We are currently finalizing a Spanish version as well, to be available in the coming weeks. Funded in part by the Citi Foundation, DCCCD hopes that the course will be adopted by most of the faculty and incorporated into their curriculum so that every student has a chance to gain important insights into achieving financial wellness. While this course was developed for DCCCD, it is publicly available (and free!) for anyone who would like to take it, so please check it out and share with anyone you think might benefit from it! http://www.mysmartmoneydecisions.com/

HTML5 is the latest generation of technology for creating not just web sites, but also web applications and mobile/tablet apps. Although it has been around for several years, it was only recently declared officially complete. W3C Declares HTML5 Standard Complete | TechCrunch http://ow.ly/EBMhH

Creative Cat Media is an HTML5 developer. We use it along with CSS and JavaScript to create interactive and useful projects for our clients. See some examples in the HTML5 section of our web site. http://www.creativecatmedia.net/programming/html5/

The Creative Cat team is gathered in Dallas today for a big planning session on a new project: updating Dallas County Community College District's online financial literacy course "Smart Decisions" to include a more interactive look and feel. Smart Decisions is funded by a grant from the Citi Foundation and aims to teach students about a number of financial wellness topics. Creating a budget, saving for their goals, the benefits of good credit, and managing student loans are just a few. We've got a lot of ideas and a lot of coffee! Here's to a productive planning meeting!
