Just before Christmas, I was invited into the Bishop FM studio for a chat about all things cycling - listen again here.

Not quite accurate because it doesn't take the 31st December into account for some reason, but hey, whatevz (better late than never).

It's a present for myself. Some of the contents of my "Tin of Big Win" plus a seasonal discount from Polar, plus the prospect of the Great North Run next year persuaded me to treat myself! #babiking #teampolar #polara370 #a370 https://buff.ly/2DftWB7

Another snowy commute. Only one week in 2017 left of cycle commuting and it's promising to be challenging! #babiking #bikelife #bikecommute #cyclecommute #baaf #snow #❄ #🚵 https://buff.ly/2BF0F5m

My backlit Polar M460 in a dark and rainy commute this morning. It's so bright, I can feel my face being lit up from the stem, like I'm doing scary faces with a torch. #babiking #polarm460 #m460 #hrm #teampolar #cyclecommuter #cyclecommute #everydaybybike #autumnriding https://buff.ly/2y1WKZU

Yesterday there was a plan in place to finish work and cycle the lines from Spennymoor to Newcastle. But through Thursday afternoon and night, it rained a lot and Adam pulled out. I'd also been up from 4:20am with an unhappy Erin so the 59km to Newcastle, train ride from Newcastle to Durham and then further one hour cycling from Durham to Bishop Auckland didn’t appeal. So Cristiano and I decided to still do a decent distance, dropping me off at home before he followed my usual commute and then on to his house in Durham. I'm pleased we decided that because I found it hard going. I know I'm not over trained thanks to Recovery Status in Polar Flow. I think the disturbed nights sleep over the last fortnight is taking its toll. #babiking #cycling #cyclinglife #cyclecommute #polarflow #polarm460 #recoverystatus #hrtraining #hrm https://buff.ly/2xUBGVm

I've written before about good customer service I've experienced at my local Halfords, plus some bargains I've snapped up. But it's hard to see how this will help their reputation amongst cyclists. It's basically been a chance for motorists who don't like cyclists to have the two pence worth.
