The San Francisco International Film Festival returns April 24-May 8 and the Japanese Film Festival of San Francisco co-presents Tamako in Moratorium. Recent college graduate Tamako does little more than sleep, eat and indifferently work in her father’s store. “Japan is hopeless,” she insists, but she seems pretty hopeless herself. When her dad makes a tentative stab at dating, it turns thenumb routine of her life upside down, leaving her with two choices: sabotage Dad’s romance or find her own place in the world.
