Someone liked my drawing of a severed head so much he had it permanantly inked onto his hide. No greater flattery.

More generalized thoughts on Khunmar. I've set the manuscript aside to work on other things, but that doesn't stop me from thinking about it.

I'm also thinking about ways in which I can make the maps more useful in describing the often 3d nature of the different levels.

Mines of Khunmar Exploration Society: Khunmar Outdoor Map
OK, first off I decided to save my 'Khunmar' related posts and collect them here at this blog. So I won't discuss anything else other than Khunmar here --- so if you care about that, now you have a place to take a look, read past blog entries, etc. 2nd: I d...

In response to your question, I suppose the bonuses/penalties would apply to people who were in the room at the time that the adjustments to the Orrery were made. I wouldn't want to have to go around determining the birthday of every purple worm or kobold for the rest of the session in order to determine whether or not I should give them a +1 or -1 on certain rolls.
And the 'zodiac room' is a new feature, but it fits into the spirit of the old timey mega dungeon ---- in the original 'Khunmar' manuscript there were all sorts of rooms with mysterious features the players could fuck around with and have good or bad or indifferent results but no overall 'reason' for those things to be there other than making for (hopefully) entertaining encounters.

Since I live in Detroit metro, I really ought to go and support U-Con, especially since there are such fine times to be had and swell people to meet. Unfortunately, I'm a stressed out hermit... every year it creeps up on me and I haven't got it together enough to go. I need to change that.

But is all mummia created equal? There are some very well preserved mummies in Peru --- in fact, as far as preservation goes, many of the Peruvian mummies look better to me than their Egyptian counterparts--- does Peruvian mummia have the same (or better or worse) preservative powers as traditional mummia?
I've also seen mummified dogs and cats. Can I prolong my own life through the use of animal mummia? Or is cat mummia only work on cats, etc?
So many questions, so few answers.

I quit G+ a while back, but I missed all the google-ites... I guess I'll trade liberty and privacy for more nerdish conversation online.

I tried posting a link, earlier, to my blog here and it announced that I had 'shared something privately' and wouldn't even let me look at it (although it would let me delete it without looking at it). What does it mean?
