Beautiful view, awful food. Really awful food. I feel bad posting this but you cannot imagine how pricy this is for this bad food. 38$ for 2 lamb chops 90%fat. 38 $ for ribeye steak 90%fat. Unreal.

Amazing food and views at this lovely restaurant on the slopes of Haleakala. Stop here for amazing breakfast on your way up or down the slopes of Mt. Haleakala. The pancakes are delicious and so is the Loco Moco. Quick service and friendly staff made for an overall great experience.

Very scenic view and delicious food. They also made low carb for me

You basically pay for the view here, which is fantastic. We stopped in and had breakfast: pancakes, eggs, bacon, hot chocolate. Breakfast wasn't good at all, and server was inattentive. I honestly wouldn't have ordered breakfast if I knew how it'd taste. However, downstairs you'll find a small art gallery from local artist Curtis Wilson Cost, which was actually really cool.

The beautiful view and lovely gardens are not worth the long wait for mediocre food. We have waited over an hour the several times we've been to Kula Restaurant, but after 1 1/2 hour wait for our Christmas dinner, we left, hearing the same excuse we've heard every time we've been there: "We're short-staffed in the kitchen tonight." Solution: DON'T BE SO TIGHT; A GOOD REPUTATION DOESN'T COME FREE. HIRE SUFFICIENT HELP!!!

Stayed at the studio and had breakfast and dinner at this lodge while on a 3-day bike tour. The lodge provided a welcome pit stop for my trip. The studio apartment was well furnished and spacious. There is also a convenience store on the premises which was helpful to get a packed lunch in the morning. The inside of the restaurant is very spacious but feels cozy. There is even a nice fireplace to warm up by. Early in the morning you can look down at the island out the windows but in the evening the mountain fog rolls in and you will be really glad you're inside the lodge and not out! The food is good and hearty but very expensive. I wouldn't come out here just to eat, but it's definitely a nice stop when you're already here for the mountain.

Phenomenal panoramic view! You can see both sides of the island from your table as you warm up with coffee. Don't miss the fruit platter. That papaya... Mmm!

I'd say many items on the menu are fantastically tasty. Pricing is a little high, but to be expected on Maui. The ambience outside is amazing, inside has outdated aspects, but still nice enough.
