Meant to get this lavender harvesting video posted a while ago but kept putting off pulling the buds off after it dried. At least my bedroom smelled really good for the last month. https://youtu.be/1Unk9yqRvC4

Harvested the first CDN x GC from +Chris M today. I got a little less than half way up the pepper before I started hiccuping and had to run for ice cream. I can't really tell if it's super hot level but it's too hot for me to be able to eat more than half of it. It contained only 6 seeds, one of which was brown and not worth saving. It was juicy and sweet and too hot for me to eat raw. Will likely use it in sauces/powders. It is the hottest pepper that has ripened so far.

This year's potato harvest: 15 lbs from about 10 plants. The purple potato didn't do so well but the rest did ok. I got most of the seed potatoes from a friend in the Spring. The ozette fingerling is the only one planted from potatoes harvested last season.

Is this not the cutest pepper tail you ever saw? Most of the non aji jobito (aji jobito x white peach?) have tails like this. Some a little more prominent than others. Beautiful pepper and amazing taste - sweet on the outside with a warm center. I wonder what the likelihood that the saved seeds will come out this way too. +Susan Garza +Grown at Home in WV

Trying out some different eggplant varieties this year. This is the Cookstown Orange. I'm not sure I like the taste of this one but they do say you should harvest it before it gets too dark orange which I didn't do so maybe it will taste better if I pick them earlier. They are kind of bitter.

Harvested the first Jimmy Nardello's of the season yesterday. I already ate one just to try it. They have a different kind of flavor than most sweet peppers I've had. #JimmyNardello

Still harvesting blueberries off my bushes though some of them are about done. Still quite a few on the pink lemonade. Harvested 3 lbs of berries yesterday off 5 or so plants and a couple handfuls off the pink lemonade. +Make it Wayne

Finally, the first ripe non aji jobito (possible aji jobito x white peach). I cut it in half and saved the seeds and down the hatch it went. It's one tasty pepper I must say. Sweet and also has a bit of heat, maybe jalapeno level. Not quite enough to give me the hiccups. It also has the most pods of all 24 peppers I'm growing this year. Well except maybe the black pearl, it is pretty loaded too but it's definitely the tallest and widest pepper. It might be my favorite this year. +Susan Garza +Grown at Home in WV

I grew 4 onion varieties this year. Tropeana Lunga, New York Early, Walla Walla and Talon F1. It was my first time growing Talon and I harvested it yesterday, all 51 of them and they're curing in the greenhouse now. The Walla Wallas are the only ones still in the ground, they're not getting nearly as big.
