Saw this today and thought of the long suffering staff and customers of Moray Council Libraries and Information Services - keep up the good work in the libraries. We have to keep battling to protect this hugely important service to our communities.

Really sad to hear that Margo MacDonald's died - a stalwart of the independence movement and an inspiration to many. Not to mention in recent years an inspiration to those with ill health as battled every step of illness to represent her constituents and support Scotland. More determined than ever to get a Yes in September for all those who have put Scotland's independent future at the heart of their lives.

Broadband Public Meeting, 7pm, Mon 24th Jan in Inchberry Hall - hosted by Richard Lochhead MSP with BT and Highlands and Island Enterprise. Find out about superfast fibre rollout in Moray and other broadband work.

In last night's vote on the shocking Bedroom Tax a quarter of Scottish Labour MPs DID NOT EVEN TURN UP. All SNP MPs voted to ditch it. The vote was lost by fewer votes than the number of missing Labour MPs - an UTTER DISGRACE. I am absolutely disgusted that they couldn't even be bothered to turn up on such an important issue. Yet another reason to vote YES and make the right decisions on these issues here in Scotland.

Congratulations to my bosses! Keep up the good work.

For all those rockers out there I would like to draw some attention to a fairly current excellent track and a much, much older one. The similarities (and the high quality of heavy rock) are striking. Enjoy these.... I am!!! Avenged Sevenfold Avenged Sevenfold - Hail To The King [Official Music Video] Saxon (Official) Saxon - Crusader

Congratulations to all winners in the firs annual Elgin BID Business Awards including the category winners: local The Royal Bank of Scotland branch, Qismat Elgin, the Red Cross, Bijou - Elgin and to K&M Barbers who also won the overall Elgin Business of the Year Award. Congrats also to runners up Whs Elgin. All the businesses area a credit to Elgin, which is clear from the whopping 3,800 members of the public who cast their votes for the awards! Thanks to The Northern Scot for sponsoring the awards and for all their staff and Elgin BID staff who counted the thousands of votes and made the event such a success.
