I am a big believer in reviewing places for what they are. This Mexican joint is certainly fulfilling its mission of serving tasty fast food Mexican. I had chips and guac which were good and also one of the aguas, which I wasn't fond of because unnecessarily sweet. I also had one carnitas taco which was very good. The turnover is pretty quick and the wait for food was less than 15 minutes, we easily found a free table to sit. This establishment is cash only so, even if cheap, plan accordingly.

Five stars specifically for their carne asada/steak burrito. The place where most likely the burrito was invented in the early 70s. Nice, basic taqueria, usually very busy. Seating on low leather stools, cafeteria style by number. The quality of their beef is very good.

Great guacamole but the fact that they do not have carnitas on the menu was a huge let down. Definitely worth a try but not my top favorite.

Come here for the tacos. They load them up with fabulously flavored meats, beans and salsa. It's probably one of the best taquerias in the Mission. Unfortunately, getting a table can be very difficult and some of the new patrons can be very entitled. You can really see the tension between new and old residents of the Mission in this restaurant.

No-rice burritos that are unsurprisingly a bit smaller than typical Mission burritos. The ingredients are fresh (vs mushy, like e.g. El Faro) but because of salsa the burrito itself is kinda moist. Service is fast and efficient. Decor is above average for a Mission taqueria, which isn't saying much. Overall, I liked it, but Taqueria Cancun is still my favorite.
