We were referred to eat here by some local police officers who worked the Mission. We figured they would know best and decided to try it out. Those police officers are my culinary angels. I love La Taqueria more than almost any place I've ever eaten. Their carne asada and carnitas super tacos are TO DIE FOR! I don't live in San Francisco anymore, but they are always the first place I go when I come back to town. My mouth is watering just writing this up. It is cash only, but most places in SF are.

The crispy taco here is pretty yum. I got the carintas tacos and thoroughly enjoyed it. I also got a carne asada quesadilla, which was really good too, but a bit pricey for my taste. While the size of the quesadilla was pretty big, it wasn't worth $7+ to me after adding on avocado. Their strawberry agua fresca was also very refreshing. I'd go back if in the area.

The best carne asada burrito in town!!! Add some hot sauce to give it that extra kick. With a place that serves good food like this, you have to wait in line. =/ Oh and that yucky part, you'll smell like food after...but the food is awesome!! Order a large Horchata to diminish the spice.

Loved the hard taco inside a soft taco with so much chopped tomato - yum! Veggie burrito wasn't as heavy as the one at El Farolito (if you want something less heavy). Agua fresca wasn't too sugary, which is nice (you can taste the fruit!). Still, I doubt this is really the "best burrito place in the USA" as some have rated it, but for a solid Mexican meal, it's a winner.

The food is excellent. This place has been a family tradition for over 30 years. It is packed for a reason, but my only complaint are the rising prices. But 2 Tacos will fill you up. Skip the Drink if you're cheap. The food is too good to skip if you're in the Mission District. Another one of my Mother's favorite places to eat. Rest in Peace Mom, Victoria Martha Orea.

Heard great things recently on a radio show, saw a bunch of small burritos coming out so I figured it would taste delicious, I also figured I'd order a super burrito to get the big one! I ordered the super Carne Asada and it was $10, A bit high for the area but I figured for a giant five-star burrito, no problem. When my Barito finally came out after 30 minutes (1:30pm lunch rush?) I figured it was the wrong order, I could wrap my hand around it… one hand! I'm a regular size guy, I am not impressed. I finished it while using Siri to write this review… I'm hungry again. In terms of flavor, I can't even boast about that, nothing special.

Went there today because my boyfriend read some burrito bracket article and I have to say this was not even worthy of being on the bracket. The burrito was maybe three inches wide all rolled up and just mush and bland flavor on the inside. He ordered carne asada so maybe that was the problem but I don't think so. I would go to chipotle before I would even consider recommending this place to anyone. We took an Uber after this and mentioned the place to our driver, a Bay resident of 20 years. He was silent for a few awkward moments and then said he liked a 10 lb/ $10 burrito in Oakland @ Casa Jimenez Food Truck. No comment and then a recommendation for a different place, clearly he knew La Taqueria was not worth all this hype or any words at all.
