Intrauterine Insemination - (https://gplnk.me/2mriL2c)

In older types of artificial insemination, the sperm was placed in the vagina. While easier, it was not as successful as procedures today. Intrauterine insemination is a form of artificial insemination. Sperm that have been washed and concentrated are placed directly in the uterus around the time of ovulation. The goal is for the sperm to swim into the fallopian tube and fertilize a released egg, resulting in a normal pregnancy. Because the sperm are inserted directly into the uterus, they do not have to swim as far to reach and fertilize the egg. Dr. Vicken Sepilian can successfully evaluate his patients' reproductive health and offers Intrauterine Insemination to potential parents who are having difficulty conceiving.

Women are most fertile in their 20s and early 30s. But while that may be the easiest time to get pregnant, it's not always the most optimal time. Egg freezing is an option for many women. Eggs are harvested from your ovaries, frozen unfertilized and stored for later use.

Iron is used by your body to make a substance in red blood cells that carries oxygen to your organs & tissues. During pregnancy, you need about double the amount that a non pregnant woman needs. This extra iron helps your body make more blood to supply oxygen to your baby.

Most egg donors make their decision based on strong feelings of empathy for the prospective parents. Egg donors tend to be quite generous in their willingness to help others - for instance, they typically have a keen understanding of the struggles a couple may go through in attempting to start a family.

The inability to conceive can be frustrating. If you are unable to conceive, In Vitro Fertilization is an option. IVF is a reproductive technique that involves combining sperm cells with a full, mature egg in a laboratory. The woman may be given fertility medications to allow for the eggs to mature properly and for the uterine wall to develop optimally.

Ultrasounds reveal practical aspects about fetuses that help parents plan for an upcoming birth, like estimated delivery dates and the sex of the baby. Ultrasound imaging will also show where the placenta rests, indicating conditions such as placenta previa, which may cause physicians to recommend a c-section. Used as a dialogistic tool, ultrasounds can help physicians prepare women for safer births if complications are found in advance!
