I started this project about mid November when some friends convinced my wife to host Thanksgiving dinner at our house. We had been planning on building our own farmhouse style table for some time, but the imminent arrival of guests provided me with the necessary motivation to get started.
In a little over a week, I was able to get the table constructed in time for Thanksgiving dinner. The benches were built by Christmas, and the final staining and finishing completed just this week.
All in all, we are fairly pleased with the results. The kids now have more room to spread out to do their lessons and my car is happy to be back in the garage once again.

Here's a good article on SpaceX's attempts to land their Falcon 9 first stage on a barge in the Atlantic.  I'm looking forward to watching their next attempt Sunday.
