Story
Introduction
Gabriel J. Christian has his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University and his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of the District of Columbia. He is the co-founder, Vice President  and General Counsel of the Dominica Academy of Arts and Sciences, a leading US Non-Profit specializing in uniting the scientific and artistic competence of the Caribbean American and African Diaspora in the United States for sustainable project development in the Caribbean and Africa.  He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Caribbean Studies and General Counsel ( www.icsdc.org  )which is dedicated to working with multilateral agencies such as the World Bank, IMF, OAS and Inter American Bank to craft policy which will enhance the sustainable development of the Caribbean/Latin America. He is a leading developer of innovations in solar and renewable energy science partnerships such as the Solar powered Loon and the Solar Powered Osprey in partnership with Canadian scientist Monte Gisborne. See www.enviromotivellc.com. He is also the leading global partner for www.zeroenergy.com and the developer of the zero energy homes for developing countries portrayed at www.natureislander.com - a unique blend of solar energy systems and sustainable agriculture, designed to showcase both principles in developing countries. He is CEO and Chief Business Strategist of the Renewable Energy Alliance, LLC, www.renewableenergy21.com which has competent alliances in solar cars, solar homes and solar boats - to reduce the carbon footprint and so reduce global warming.  The principal thrust of the Solar Boat Developing Nations Initiative (SBDNI) is to "green" the fishing  vessels of fishing communities in the developing world and so reduce air pollution and energy cost for those fishing communities by utilizing  the proprietary technology of the solar powered Loon, as the template for new fishing vessels. An award winning author of five books on history and literature, he conceived and  led the Caribbean Glory Tribute to World War II Veterans of the British Army, alongside British Attorney General Baroness Patricia Scotland of Ashtal, QC, at the Andrews Air Force Base on June 19, 2009. His latest book For King & Country - The Service and Sacrifice of the British West Indian Soldier emphasized how discipline, familiarity with technology, rule of law principles and enlightened nationalism formed the basis for the development of modern day Caribbean nation states by that unique contingent of  World War II veterans who went  on to illustrous national/international leadership.  All his projects embody the principle of learning by doing - a key factor of his 2007 China partnership to assemble electronic and related technology in technologically deficient communities, globally,  as a means to fast track the acquisition of much needed skills. Mr. Christian was commissioned a Captain in the Dominica Cadet Corps in 2005 for his work among Dominican students to provide youth leadership within the tried, tested and true military cadet principles he learnt while an army cadet under British rule.  Mr. Christian is a leading expert and proponent  of that  education process of combining innovation, rule of law, strategic alliances and institution building which are key requirements for sucessful nation-state consolidation  and development in the 21st Century.
