NFTA Boat Harbor
1111 Fuhrmann Boulevard, Buffalo, NY 14203
The NFTA Harbor is a fine place to launch a boat, however if you want to view the Lake I would drive further along the Lake to Sturgeon Point Marina (618 Sturgeon Point Road, Derby) for unparalleled views of the Lake. You can lok northeast to see the City or look to the west for spectacular sunsets. Point Abino on the Canadian shore is clearly visible from Sturgeon Point. There is a hotdog and ice cream stand that operates during the summer. There are plenty of benches to sit and just view the Lake as well as access to the beach to stroll along the miles of sandy shore and get your feet wet if you desire. Eagles and osprey are often seen "fishing" or perching in the trees here. So, get away from the "harbor walls" and really see the Lake, go to Sturgeon Point!
Quality Excellent

Some people just do not care to fish for walleye they would rather catch a mean old smallmouth. I can show you where the big ones hang out. Check out gr8lakesfishing.com They fight hard and will test you before the day is done.

Made my presentation "Getting the Gold Out of Lake Erie", in downtown Buffalo, was very well received. Maybe I turned some businessmen into fishermen. May bookings are up for GR8 Lakes Fishing Adventures on Lake Erie, season promises to be very good.

Big news for me I signed Temple Fork Outfitters as a rod sponsor. They have an outstanding line of bass rods designed by Gary Loomis. I have been using two and was just floored by the quality and performance. I have more ordered and that is what all my charter guests will be using. What is more incredible these rods could sell for hundreds more but come in at a very affordable $100 to $150, a lot of rod for the money. They compare very well to the Loomis rods I spent several hundred dollars for. You can get these rods from both Cabelas and Bass Pro Shops.

I am guiding on Lake Okeechobee during the winter. November was fantastic I had many 50 plus fish days on artifical lures. I am booked to the end of February. I do have March open but the dates will not last long so book ASAP. Also I am taking booking for the 2013 season on Eastern Lake Erie check out gr8lakesfishing.com

I spend nearly every day on Lake Erie taking people fishing, I can tell you it has never been better in the eastern basin near Buffalo NY. This is a 9.25 lb walleye we caught on 7/2. There are lots more like this one out there want to try it check out gr8lakesfishing.com

I was fishing on Lake Erie near Buffalo, NY the bass capitol of the world! Today the water is still cool caught one largemouth bass about five pounds. It was so cold it didn't put up much of a fight. That will change in about a week the water is warming up quick now.

I have been away from Google+ so a brief update is in order. Winter was successful on Lake Okeechobee in Florida. My charter business continues to grow. I am back to my home lake, Lake Erie near Buffalo, NY. Weather has had its ups and downs. Since I got back about ten days ago I have just been doing prep work for the coming season. Perch fishing has been outstanding this should slow a bit over the next few weeks as the trophy bass season really really gets underway. Walleye season opens May 5th this year. It looks promising the NYS DEC has said we have several strong year classes and plenty of fish in the Eastern basin beside those fish migrating from the western lake to here for the summer. check out http://www. gr8lakesfishing.com if you want to come and fish; don't wait dates fill fast.
