It is a pleasure dining at Hacienda Real! You never wait, the staff is very attentive, with excellent service. Friendly staff that speak fluent Spanish (always a bonus!) and go out of their way to take care of you. The food is delicious and very resonably priced. My friend and I dined there a few weeks back when it was 70+ degrees out but they had not opened their patio yet. We asked about it and they went out of their way to open the patio for us so we could enjoy the beautiful weather. Oh, and did I mention that their margaritas are delicious?!

THIS is real, authentic Mexican food. Not the crap you get at most other Fort Collins "mexican" restaurants. Fresh ceviche, amazing paella, flan that was so good I forgot to take a photo...and they have mojarra frita (whole fried fish)! Do you know how hard that is to find? You won't find over-salted green chili nor smoked chicken street tacos (seriously, that's a blasphemy) nor cheese sauce and canned salsa (I mean, really?! Who does that?) here, thankfully. This place was perfect, a Mexican restaurant run by people who actually know how to make Mexican food. This is NOT Tex-Mex or any other version of Americanized Mexican food. This is the real deal, and it is above par on every level. Lovely decor, great wait staff, and splendid food.

Finally found an authentic Mexican restaurant with decent prices and decent service. They make all their own food from scratch, including the chips, salsa, and refried beans! The food was perfectly seasoned as I am used to from growing up in Texas. So often, places charge you extra for sour cream or refried beans, etc., as if it will break them to include it, but not here. When they seat you, they greet you warmly and with sincerely smiles, explain the menu, ask if you have any questions that they can assist with, and if you have handicap equipment (as a friend of mine had), they offer to move it to the side/front for you and bring it back when you're ready to leave. All of that from just the hostess that seats you! Immediately, a FRESH basket of tortilla chips, salsa, AND refried beans (with a wonderful blend of seasoning) is brought to your table, and they keep refilling all of it without having to be asked! VERY clean, VERY nice people, VERY comfortable and beautiful atmosphere, large portions, VERY good prices, and more. I give this experience 5 stars across the board except in one area -- staffing. The first person that I asked "Do you make your own chips?" was unable to speak ANY English. As a person with a career focus on identity security and against ALL forms of illegal immigrant residency or employment, I have to assume that her situation and that of other staff members is not completely legal, which I find entirely unacceptable.

The restaurant is excellent. They start you off with beans chips and salsa free of charge. The menu is extensive and all very reasonable priced. Service is excellent. One of the best mexican restaursants in town

Worst Mexican food I've ever eaten! The enchiladas suisas made me wish I was at taco bell! Service was very poor as well, in fact bordering on horrible! I'll never be back...
