Whoa, this was one of the best burgers I've ever had and without a doubt, their salt and pepper fries are simply amazing. I tasted the falafel burger which was crunchy and mostly stayed together. Another diner in my party loved the fish and chips, served on an aluminum lunch tray. Come in at 5:30 even on a Friday to get your pick of tables before the dinner crowd rushes in. Staff attentiveness never wavers and they make excellent recommendations for all courses.

Great brunch spot in Park Slope! The've got donut french toast that's absolutely decadent. It feels very Brooklyn, with its dark wood, vintage maps and photographs on the wall, and comfy vibe. I really like the Spring omelet, and I like that the bloody Mary has just the right amount of spice.

Every time I come here i am disappointed, I want to love Thistle Hill, really I do. It's on the corner and cozy but oh so blah! Last time I got the fish and chips and it was soggy and gross. The steak frites is ok. The mac and cheese is pretty good but again you just want a bit more. All in all overpriced for the experience.

A little greasy (confit, pasta) for a gastropub, and some of the dishes feel half-thought-out (remoulade and summer squash as an app, pasta was bland and boring), but service was good and they have a solid cocktail/wine/beer list.

Friendly wait staff and delicious food. Great place to come for either dinner or just a drink and apps at the bar. Get the whipped ricotta!

Unfortunately - we found this place unimaginative and overpriced. The ambiance was so-so as was the service. We ate for brunch. Much better offerings in the area!

Great food, plain and simple. They have red velvet donuts that are, honest to God, the best dessert I've ever had. Atmosphere and service are very good as well.

A bit over-hyped for my taste. Was told there'd be no wait when I called and when I showed up a few minutes later was told it would be 20 minutes. Half an hour after standing at the cramped bar we were seated. Service is friendly and food is decent, but burger had too much bun/not enough meat and environment is cramped (crowded inside, and outside you're surrounded by people hovering, waiting to get a table). Would be so much better if they took reservations.
