One of the best meals I've ever had in my life was at this place. To give you some idea of how awesome this place is, they're only open for lunch ... And they're only open Monday through Friday . The owners are so good at providing what they do for lunch on weekdays that they don't even have to work the dinner shift or weekends! I believe this restaurant won an award for their blueberry Chipotle ribs - they are to die for. Throw in some of the sides like jalapeno grits and you are in heaven. I have been spoiled in my professional career when it comes to food. I have eaten at some very expensive places from New York to London . This place is absolutely wonderful - don't let the appearance fool you . You will have the best ribs you've ever had . Throw in the availability of all that wonderful Asheville beer and you have a line out the door all the time. Restaurants with long lines always attract me. This place always has a line - always

Usually my first stop on my way into Asheville. Usually a wait, but it's always worth it. Hogzilla (brat, bacon, pulled pork on a bun is pornographic. My favorite is the smoked turkey sandwich with herbed brie. Sides are great as well.

This is quite possibly the most overrated restaurant I have ever been to. The sides are mediocre in the sense that you can't tell if there is cheese in the mac n cheese. They serve their food on metal dishes that always have soap residue which you can taste in the side dishes. Meat is flavorful but the temperature quality control is lackluster with a gamble of dry or lukewarm meat. Check out Luella's BBQ on merrimon instead or Moes, however if you had to choose between 12 bones or Little Pigs BBQ, go to 12 bones. Food aside, the atmosphere is great and it is right on the river.

My ribs were dry. Food was very over priced. Costed me $42 for lunch. We'll never go back.

This place was awesome!!! I got the Hogzilla and LOVED IT. I ALSO got the blueberry/chipotle ribs. My favorite authentic style ribs are Pappy's in St. Louis, but these unique sauces are AMAZING. I would like to try more. Just because I can enjoy authentic style ribs, does not mean new ideas are bad. Definitely FIVE STARS!!

Brisket was way under cooked.could not pull it apart, had to spit it out.ribs also not tender and dried out.Mac and cheese would have been better if it was kraft out of the box.sweet potatoes tasted like butter.if you in Asheville pass on bbq and wait till u can find real bbq, overrated. And if Obama likes it that should say enough.

This place is ALL hype, Asheville is such a hipster city and this place is a perfect example of it. True BBQ is all about simplicity: Good quality meat, a good rub, and a good smoke is all you need. Unfortunately some people screw it up with weird flavors like Blueberry- Chipotle, Kiwi- Strawberry, or Watermelon. Have been twice now just to give them a couple chances. Verdict: Greasy pulled pork (I know it will be fatty but come on, grease should not pool on the bottom of the plate). Ribs were dry, Brisket was so dry we could not even eat it, and there was no smoke flavor to the meat! The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the sides were pretty good. Jalapeno grits were on point and the I really liked the collard greens. If you are like me and enjoy true, simple, properly cooked/ smoked BBQ there are much better choices in and around Asheville. Try Moe's, Luella's, or Okie Dokie's. Nothing fancy or any bizarre flavors, just BBQ done right.
