Food was so good! Quick service. Dark and classy atmosphere by fireplace. It felt so good after walking in cold outside! I love it there! Thanks Boston Dine Out to introduce me the restaurant!

I give 1 star because there is not less than that. Just got back from this place...... I paid $170 bill in two persons for a very bad dinner (on Saturday!!). Food tastes bad and the service was terrible including the "home made" ice-cream served in clear jar..... please next time buy it from the store on the corner. The only good things.... beer and wine....of course not made by them. Totally waist of not go there!

I had the brunch on Sunday and it was just ok. The banana smoothie was a little too milky and not thick enough for me. It was $5.50 and served in a small glass. I had the Chicken Panini which was pretty good..ya know solid 3 star. My friend had the cinnamon french essentially a cinnamon roll soaked in egg... It was sweet the first time she had tried it but was dry this time. The leather looking (but really plastic) seats were all peeling badly throughout the ground floor dining area. It is a little surprising that they let it get this way especially when you are catering to the high end crowd.

Unfortunately this is not a pleasant memory. Not long ago, within the past 3 months, my girlfriend and I were dining at Post 390 in Boston's Back Bay. Nestled on the corner of Stuart and Clarendon Street, Post 390 is beautifully located next to the John Hancock tower, Copley Square, and just across the street from Hotel 140 and The Lyric Stage Company of Boston where we regularly attend the theatre. Post 390 is an upscale trendy casual restaurant with a modern lively feel. The colors are rich and dark and the bar is a beautiful granite. Typically we will come in for a cocktail before a show, but this evening we sat down for dinner. The hosts were more than friendly and took us to a two top in the bar area. The table was a very comfortable high-top; however, throughout the meal the bar area began to pour into the seating area and became so crowded we were forced to rush our meal and get out of the way. Knowing the location, it would have been easy for a manager to escort this large drinks only group to the upstairs bar which is more private, but this never happened. Our server Shaun was a real friendly guy, he began the service promptly and offered many suggestions for beverages. I ended up going with a Smoke beer which you can't find just anywhere. I am a huge fan of beer, and home brew as a side passion. He spoke very confidently about the styles of beer they carried. My girlfriend loves champagne cocktails and he turned her on to one of their house specialties. The drinks were delivered promptly and lived up to both of our expectations. Shaun then began to take our order and we informed him that she has a Cilantro allergy and had a question about there being cilantro in the salsa on their Mahi Mahi entree or if they could serve it without the salsa. Shaun checked with the kitchen and told us the salsa was pre-made and did contain Cilantro but assured her that it would be served with no Salsa and that the flavor would not be compromised. I ordered their fish and chips which are just so well done, that I get them more often than not. Our food arrived after an acceptable wait, and we began to eat. She asked me to taste her Mahi Mahi as she thought she could see salsa on the plate. Indeed there was. We sent it back with Shaun who apologized that the salsa (with cilantro) had been served with the Fish. At this point I began to question why a manager hadn't confirmed our allergy notification before the order was finalized, and how a chef could possibly send out a food allergy order without triple checking that it would not harm the guest. The food went back to the kitchen with Shaun and we waited and waited for it to return. 10-15 minutes later her fish was returned without cilantro, no manager checked in with us or apologized for the major inconvenience or danger in having served a dish that had a food allergy. I had finished my meal, and tried to share some fries with her as we waited, and it was uncomfortable to sit while she tried to rush her meal as the bar area became more and more crowded. We received no final apology from Shaun as we quickly asked for the check, no discounts, coupons, or comps were offered us. We paid and hurried out of the crowded bar area. We were severely disappointed in this visit, and understand it was not Shaun's fault, but the management never stepped in to help solve the issue. We love this restaurant and will be returning; however, we hope next time they follow a more structured food allergy protocol as it is of the most importance when dining out.

Everything about this restaurant was/is amazing. Love the owners dedication to the farm to table concept and his sourcing of local ingredients. The staff produce not just a dinner, but an experience never to be forgotten.

Disclaimer: My most recent visit to Post 390 was during restaurant week. With that out of the way, Post 390 is a very nice place. When you walk in you feel like you stepped into a very fancy and classy joint with a laid back atmosphere. The food is good and the drink selection is plentiful. That said, the reason I am writing this review is because the Cookies I received as my dessert were easily the best cookies I have ever eaten (Sorry grandma). I recommend you check this place out for lunch, as it is a great way to spend a break.

Really, don't bother. Excellent example of the finest of airline food. Chicken great. Salmon and pork way below expectations. Service amateurish for the size of the check. Somm v good. Fun finds on list. But wouldn't go back.

This restaurant is amazing! The decor is upscale but not cold--very home-y. The food is a bit on the pricey side, but it's also really good.I had the grilled flatbread Margarita, and it was the best grilled flatbread I've had in my entire life. The tomatoes were thinly sliced, juicy, and fresh. There were tiny bits of sea salt on the tomatoes that really brought the flavor out. And there was just enough pesto to accent the dish but not to overwhelm it.The banana cream pie is light but filling and just the right balance of sweet and bland. Also comes with brulee'd banana slices on the side.I definitely recommend this place and will go back! Edit: Came here for brunch once, it was horrible. Bad service, mediocre food. Edit 2: Came back again for dinner with friends. They had our table all set up in the back so we wouldn't disturb others, and they wouldn't disturb us. Service was top-notch (wait staff friendly and helpful, not oversolicitous). We were a party of more than 8, but they didn't mandate a gratuity (we still tipped well). The food was amazing! No one was disappointed by appetizer, entree, or dessert. I would definitely recommend this place for lunch or dinner.
