DESSERT HEAVEN!! okay, sure, I'm biased. I love dark truffles, macaroons, and wine -- all of which they have plenty at Sucre. For $14, you can have 4 delectable truffles paired with a glass of poison of your choice. For me, it was a glass of Cab which went perfectly with the dark truffles that the store clerk recommended. As for the macaroons, they carry 12 different flavors. I took home a box of 15 so that I can sample all the flavors plus more. As promised, the macaroons lasted more than a week. I ate them slowly, indulging throughout the week. These macaroons are on the crispy airy side. My favorite was the hazelnut. A box of 15 cost $23 making each macaroon about $1.50. Price wise, this is pretty typical for macaroons. They also have rows of pastries which unfortunately I was too full to taste. They did look delicious though! P.S. don't waste your breath on the gelato -- it's not their forte. Skip the front and head straight to the chocolate and macaroons! Extra star - they close at midnight! skip the dessert at the restaurant and head over to Sucre after dinner instead!

This place was amazing. Ordered the "all things nola" sundae because I love bananas foster and this did not disappoint. It included bananas foster sauce, brown butter pecan gelato, bread pudding, and roasted pecans. A must try for those who love bananas foster! I would definitely come back again!

It's a nice place and some of the best gelato you're gonna find in the city. Pastries aren't quite worth their weight, but are tasty none the less. A note about their coffee, its actually the same company that supplies French Press coffeehouses and Puccinos just up-charged a whole lot more to bring it up to the rest of their boutique prices. This isn't a terrible problem since there are something like a half dozen other coffeehouses within walking distance. In short, try this place out for nice desserts, go to another place for coffee afterwards.

The pistachio gelato and devil's food cake were both very good. Would highly recommend anyone visiting the Garden District to stop in for a dessert and coffee.

Often very busy, expecially on weekends. Beautiful interior design . It is pricy.. but very much worth it. I got the all things nola. Loved every bite and didn't finish it..

Grab the prettiest pastry and/or macaron you can find, pair with some of their fresh coffee and race for the window seat! Can't imagine a better way to wake up on Magazine Street. The high end dessert displays remind me so much of Paris!

Very flavorful ice cream (there is a thai curry ice cream and it had more spice than some thai curries I've had) and really nice staff.

Fine exquisite sweets shop. Great selection of fine pastries; macaroons, chocolates, ice creams, confections... Definitely worth a visit if you'd like to impress the ladies. The only downside is the price, every bit takes a bite in the wallet. To counter that, they do come with a nice dandy gift box.
