Those of us who shout the loudest about Americanism in making character assassinations are all too frequently those who, by our own words and acts, ignore some of the basic principles of Americanism: The right to criticize; The right to hold unpopular beliefs; The right to protest; The right of independent thought.

Here’s some fun music for your weekend. I’m a Deadhead but I’m into lots of music, especially jam bands like Phish. This is an upbeat song that usually lifts my spirits. Peace.

I don't believe that the big men, the politicians and the capitalists alone are guilty of the war. Oh, no, the little man is just as keen, otherwise the people of the world would have risen in revolt long ago! There is an urge and rage in people to destroy, to kill, to murder, and until all mankind, without exception, undergoes a great change, wars will be waged, everything that has been built up, cultivated and grown, will be destroyed and disfigured, after which mankind will have to begin all over again.

"You may not be able to change the world, but at least you can embarrass the guilty."
- Jessica Mitford, author, journalist, and civil rights activist (11 Sep 1917-1996)

Timely and valid, though I think before 2016 no one could have imagined the extent to which the guilty can embarrass themselves.

So there's no need for another hashtag for "embarrass Trump."
