I don't agree with the JavaScript analogy, but nevertheless a fun read.

C was the great all-arounder: compact, powerful, goes everywhere, and reliable in situations where your life depends on it. C++ is the new C — twice the power, twice the size, works in hostile environments, and if you try to use it without care and special training you will probably crash.

The three-finger scroll is the best thing out there on the Mac! I can't imagine how could I survive without that for the past 14 years of computer usage.

Little did I imagine Google's intention of launching a 360-degree camera app in Android 4.2; they would create a complete new set of imagery from all around the world!

This could be a real useful app to keep track of medical history and more of your family. I may not be able to do justice by trying and explaining it here. Please read the description or go through the video.

And yes, if you find it useful, please help the founders by contributing.

Apple's 'natural scroll' is not really natural for someone who's been using scrollbars for years. Just in time I got used to it, I had to undo the 'natural' scroll on my Mac because the Ubuntu I also use along with it uses the 'old school' scroll--I cannot continuously keep switching between the two.

Alamo had a last-minute deal through which I could get a minivan for a reasonable price. The self-checkout was smooth at the kiosk (and saved me from standing in a line of 100 people), though I had to wait for 45 minutes to get my car. The car was well-maintained and drove well.
