"Family Wilderness Survival Training: Staying Alive:Shelter/Fire/Water
Saturday, May 14 at 11 AM - 5 PM

This course will provide introductory skills for those who want to learn the basics. We will hone our skill in building shelters using man-made and natural materials, starting a safe fire, and collecting drinking water. For day-hikers, weekend warriors, or casual trips into the wilderness, this course will cover how to handle unexpected and prolonged stays in the wild.
This class differs from others in that it is designed for families. My main goal is not just to teach a family how to survive in an emergency situation, but also to bring families together, learn from one another, and discovery how to overcome barriers so that each and every member of the unit feels comfortable and secure in their role. There will be training scenarios that involve the younger members from multiple families to build togetherness and community without aid from adults. But don't worry! I haven't forgotten the parents. I will have parents working with other parents in shelter construction and more advanced scenarios. My goal is to foster a creative, positive, dynamic learning environment. Understanding and reacting in the appropriate manner to an emergency situation is key. And the training will not end here! I intend to teach more advanced classes on urban survival and preparedness."
This class fee is:- $ 60 for one parent,
 -$ 90 for both parents,
-$ 20 for each child over 14 years old and free for all children under 14 .

Today its Earth Day and like always, Banat Wilderness & Urban Survival Training is looking to promote environmental education not just through by words, also through by action. Giving hundreds of volunteering hours in their communities and by giving life to old tools by refurbishing them and bring them back in service is just one of the steps that we are doing for "Go Green" and protect our "Mother Earth"!
